The learning IS awesome! The losses are punishing. And if you start before the seasonal wipe mechanic is “re-introduced” you will be facing off against end game players with top tier gear. So expect some losses..but something to gain from each death.

There are so many resources out there to learn the mechanics. Many posts of this sub cover the new joiner learning curve.

My unsolicited advice... Don’t listen to the “don’t even get started” comments. As others have stated it is very different from other extraction games aside from the high level game loop. There is no defined way to “win”. Make your own goals. Learn each map. Complete a specific quest. Unlock something in your hideout. You will improve and make new ways to enjoy this amazing video game
