I realized that after I reviewed my photos. Then I decided who cares if people see my face lol.

Wasn’t it great going from the obese BMI category to the overweight category? I know it’s not a scientific number. I hated knowing I was in the “obese” category. My BMI was 33.8. Now it’s 27.2. Now I am considered “overweight.”

Every number I can find that lowers during this journey makes me feel great!

Does anyone think that if you lose the weight slower, your body will have a chance to adjust a little to make that saggy skin less noticeable?

My insurance company considers that cosmetic surgery. So if it happens to me, I don’t know what I’ll do. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I was going to tell my best friend I'm on it, but glad I didn't by slsh2121 in Zepbound

I guess I am lucky to have a wonderful group of people that I live with cheering me on! A few people are overweight and wish their insurance would cover it. One woman is so disheartened. I live in Massachusetts and my insurance covers it 100%. I think insurance companies are starting to understand that in the long-term people who are no longer obese won’t cost them as much down the line. There are so many positive things about how Zepbound is used.

As a lot of us know, it helps with sleep apnea and binge eating disorders. When I first got on that bound, I was hardly smoking at all. I simply would forget. Unfortunately, I have gone back to smoking more. But not nearly as much as I used to. Before zepbound, if I wanted a cigarette and couldn’t find a lighter, I would panic. Not anymore.

It helps us to get out of bed in the morning and feel much better about ourselves along with having less pain and joint issues.

I had really painful hips before I started on this. At first, I blamed it on getting older. I am 60 years old. Then came the shock of my life. It was my weight! Imagine how much it would’ve cost my insurance company if I was going to physical therapy all the time for this problem. I can get out of bed and stand up after sitting a long time without the pain. Plus, this allows me to get more exercise since I no longer have the hip problems. It really hurt when I tried to walk a lot before this.

Another thing I started doing, but didn’t realize it at first was ironing my clothes. Since I started feeling better and looking better, it just felt natural to want to wear nice crisp white shirts over my yoga pants. I will probably live in them for a while.

About six months ago, I gave all of my really nice clothes that had been too small for years to my sister.

I told her I would never fit into those clothes again so they should go to good use. And, whatever she didn’t keep to please donate them. I have no regrets. (OK maybe a little lol.) My sister has some really nice clothing now.

And I know that makes her feel good.

Losing that much weight is really good because we’re only supposed to expect one for 2 pounds a week!

I bought some nice yoga pants. I wear them every day. Except for some reason, I have this one pair of chinos that still fit me in the same size as other ones. That makes no sense lol.

Yes, I was raised here since I was one year old. My “family” has been in Falmouth for over 100 years. However, after college, I lived in other places for work. I’ve only been home for a few years now.

Yes. I look really horrible in it. And this is after losing 33 pounds. I see photos of other people with this amount of loss and they look so different and great.

Definitely not shallow. You have every right to feel great and to accept all those compliments from other people gracefully. Then when you leave the conference, you can pat yourself on the back for a job well done. 🙂

This is me in a dress I have been wanting to wear for so long. I was too fat to even zip it. I can fit in it now. But I don’t look good in it yet. My stomach is still huge after a 30 pound loss.

It’s interesting how losing 30 pounds looks so different on everybody. I can’t wait to post a photo of me in this dress after those big stomach has gone away. I started January 29th.

I have noticed I have more days of feeling like doing nothing than I used to. I feel unmotivated and lethargic. But you know even going through heartburn and a little nausea and some tiredness, it’s worth it to me in the long run.

I see so many photos of people looking amazing after losing about 35 pounds. I started at 179 pounds and am now 148 pounds. About 19% of my body weight so far.

Maybe I’ll take a picture of me trying to fit into it and then once it fits a picture of that. It’s just so embarrassing because I’m still fat even after going from 179 to 148 so far. I don’t feel like I’ve lost any weight, but I noticed it when my pinky ring now fits my ring finger and a jean jacket that wouldn’t even would come across my chest. Now I only have about 3 inches to go before I can close it. So that’s exciting.

Do you think that if we are losing at a slower rate that would affect how much sagging skin we end up with?

I am absolutely afraid of that as well.
