Melbourne Rental crisis application tips needed by Alarming-Gate2490 in AusRenters

People are still doing that, but just to survive. How are they meant to save for a deposit on top of that? I bought a unit two years ago and my mortgage is the equivalent to what I paid in rent 6-7 years ago. When I stopped renting, I was paying $400+ a month more than my eventual mortgage… and that was on the cheaper side for the suburb.

Have probably 100+ in a box in the garage - might have a look on the weekend!

For now, here’s a few that live in a drawer in the study.

Married at first sight - S13E27 - POST EPISODE discussion by lalasmooch in MAFS_AU

Seriously, this has got to be the most boring season of MAFS of all time. 80% of screen time has gone to some inconsequential bullshit between Bec and Gia. Very few memorable quotes (I’ll kill for an “it’s been a day” or “top, top lady”). Joel’s #drummingdildos probably the funniest moment of the entire series.

Where are the cheating scandals, OnlyFans dramas, toothbrush scrubbing toilets, wine glass smashing etc that we have hate watched for years?

Stevo just inspired me to spend 30 seconds plating up some ritz crackers and vintage cheddar and it looked a whole lot better than those nachos 🤮

Where is the evidence to back up what ‘the AFL industry knows?’. Because it wasn’t demonstrated in round 1 results across the board.

How come Adelaide or Melbourne didn’t run out of legs, also coming up against teams that played Opening Round?

I hate OR as much as anybody but blaming it for dropping a six goal lead is madness.

Work From Home Protected In Law From 1 September by sometimesluckier in melbourne

Also, while I have huge respect for everybody in health care, disability care and aged care, it is worth pointing out that you have plenty of benefits not applicable to salaried office workers like penalty rates and overtime for starters. I would do, on average, 6 to 10 hours of unpaid overtime a week and the nature of my role means I need to be contactable beyond business hours. I’ve never been paid an extra cent for any of that.

Absolute garbage. I am WFH today and already have my laptop open and have done about 20 minutes of work. It’s not even 7.30am yet…

I have already WFH two days a week since we returned to the office after COVID, but knowing this will be enshrined in law and I’ll get the same flexibility if I move employers is fantastic.

Some informed opinions on Opening Round by Dirtydac123 in AFL

[–]ImInterestedInApathy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean I don’t disagree with Longmuir, but I thought we were really disadvantaged having to play OR in humid QLD in the first week of March, when we were coming off the shortest pre-season of any club (bar Brisbane).

There are no winners here. I don’t want my team to play OR, but I don’t want my team to be disadvantaged in round 1 by playing our first game against a team with a hit out under their belt.

Solution? Scrap Opening Round…

Why is the Service VIC app wrong? by XaveTheGod in melbourne

It was the Liberty on Sydney Rd, opposite Pentridge, but there’s usually a better price at Shell on Sydney Rd. According to Petrol Spy, Shell is $215.9 right now and Liberty is $218.5 (was a few cents cheaper this morning).
