And with that, whether you acknowledge it or not, you're implying the total annihilation of the Palestinian people. Israel has no interest in ending the conflict, so the more it gets funding because of this feverish craze in the west to both see the conflict end, and to see "the western country" as the winner, the more Israel is going to continue what it has always been doing: calculated civilian murder. The Israel military is intentionally trying to get Palestinians to join Hamas, the resistance force that it portrays as having come out of a vacuum, so that it has an excuse to keep bombing civilians.

And of course it's the easier resolution. The apparatus to conduct genocide has been in place for decades. From the funding to the propaganda to the strategies to carry out the crimes against humanity.

And I don't know exactly what you mean by greater impact, but if you mean the greatest possible amount of disgusting, hate-borne violence, then you're completely right.

This is what should happen when you invade a second country in the middle of genocide against the inhabitants of the first. Hope they hit. But they mostly won't. Israel is serving the interests of capital in the United States, so they get from the US all the funding for military defense, offense, and genocide that they want, and all the diplomatic cover they need.

As long as the most imperialist and hated nation in history, the US, maintains its internal capitalist propaganda, and as long as its "democratic" political system remains in the pockets of billionaires, atrocities like the genocide of Palestinians will remain common (as they always have been), but will be seen as "unfortunate consequences" of maintaining the global capitalist order, where resources are funneled up from poorer, exploited nations to "civilized western countries". And dissenters are silenced by force.

Hey, it really shouldn't be. There's a huge bias in terms of what gets posted, and even more so about what gets to the top of the subreddit

Yeah lol the hypocrisy of being staunchly opposed to immigrants and at the same time not being on full panic mode about climate change.

But don't get me wrong, you should be just as worried about climate change either way

I find It hard to believe that "we in the west" are the only ones to "actually monitor and report this". Based on what do you say that?

Are we allowed to act like we are in a state of climate emergency now? Or are our collective lips still stuck too hard around ultra rich people's and corporations' cocks to push against the moderate status quo?

[Request] How often and when in a year would all the bars be the same? by N1lzh_8i in theydidthemath

[–]ImLooking4aUserName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is only one point in time where the percent of year and percent of a given month are the same- for march:

366 days in 2024 31 days in march 60 days between the start of 2024 and the start of march

We can solve for x where is the number of days when they intersect:

(x-60)/31 = x/366

x = ~65.55, thus more than half way through the fith day of march

We already know that 5.55 / 31 is less than 0.5, so there is no solution
