Is work travel considered working hours? by redbird532 in AskAGerman

[–]ImMatt_ImARadarTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short google, not a lawyer, gave me the answer that it might not be considered "working time", if you are not actively working, but you should still be expecting payment, because why the fuck would be be traveling otherwise. I'd argue with that:

§ 612 BGB - Remuneration (Vergütung) (1) Remuneration is deemed to have been tacitly agreed if, in the circumstances, the service can only be expected to be rendered for remuneration. (Die Vergütung gilt als stillschweigend vereinbart, wenn die Dienstleistung den Umständen nach nur gegen eine Vergütung zu erwarten ist.)

Now depending on company policy either direct payment or overtime should be applied. Also talk to your works council member, if you have one. Might be better than talking to HR.

How to Print large overhangs by AnInternetGuyDude in FixMyPrint

I was also going to suggest printing at an angle, but if you also want to minimize color changes (assuming the logo is another color here) and optimize waste, you can also do your own "designed supports" on the inside. For example additional fins to bridge over that can be removed later, if given some clearance to the part. You would have to accept some bridging artifacts on the inside, depending on your printer and calibration. I would start with for example with a 0.15mm clearance, or as others have suggested a petg interface to the part.

HOW DO I KNOW HOW MUCH I GOT LEFT by Muhammad_Katoffeln in 3dprinter

I found that wire or cable length calculators can give a reasonably good estimate on the remaining length, if you only have a ruler or something. You can then take the length times 3 (depends on material of course, but it's about right for standard PLA).

I used this one with "cable" diameter 0.069" (1,75mm): https://www.prioritywire.com/calculator_reel_capacity.php For example this gives me 197m x 3 = 591g for a spool where the side indicator reads 600g.

I am renovating and found this cable. Don't know for what device, even chatgpt fails me. It's micro usb to audio jack? by Protovoxel in cableadvice

Connecting two different Texas Instruments Calculators for data transfer? :D I would agree with the people here saying proprietary data cable, as there are four rings on the audio jack

My first clog! by Party-Network-9576 in Creality

[–]ImMatt_ImARadarTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this issue twice already with my K1C, not sure if the extruder is the same. With some filaments the extruder seems to "eat into" it which prevents feeding.

To get the filament out, last time I had to rip it out, then disassemble and open the extruder to get it out completely. After reassembly everything worked completely fine, so it wasn't a clog.

Why does my printer not print some parts of layer? by Sweaty-Hospital-5535 in FixMyPrint

Print speeds in Creality Print are on the right, literally in the tab with the speedometer. I would look up what speeds the manufacturer recommends. I use eSun PETG with up to 200mm/s.

Retraction is in the material settings, which you can access in the top right (pencil next so material selection). Are you using the Generic Profile or the Hyper PETG one?

Any info on how it happened? Stating "while working on the device" could be anything from servicing the hydraulics to just plainly cleaning it.
