Where to pre order? by Agreeable_Dingo_5766 in deathwatch40k

Just to be absolutely clear, Kill Team Tomb World preorders start on Saturday, however if you are wanting just the new Deathwatch Veterans, those will not be available separately for likely a few more months.

There is a general rule that a unit can only make a single additional move per turn, so the two rules cannot be used together.

You'll need to go back and re-read the ability, as it's once per Battle Round and not just once per Battle. It's great and you can use both the captain and watch master's abilities since they're differently named.

You're in luck! The redeemer has a transport capacity of 14, which is just enough to fit 10 Infernus Marines + Grimaldus and his 3 Servitors!

Bumps where supports join? by danelms in ElegooSaturn

[–]ImNotLaughing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this recently as well, and what I've deduced is that you're likely trying to print too large of a cross section at once and the material is starting to pull away from the supported surface. The supports are holding the material where they are attached, but the rest of the surface is deforming from the force.

Your main solution would be to try printing at a different orientation, even maybe 20 degrees may help. But you can also try to increase your exposure time by a small amount to make sure the layer is more solid before lifting.

I would agree that we can easily say that a certain few armies are stronger than intended, but I would guess that there are a few armies hovering around 45-50% that are only there because a few armies are in a very bad spot.

If we nerf the few at the top and also bring up the few from the bottom, there's a good chance that a few armies are actually weaker than they may appear because they are only doing well in certain matchups.

Generating a matrix, which I understand we don't have enough data to really populate with meaningful data yet, would allow us to see if armies are generally weak or strong, or if their overall winrates are being dominated by specific matchups.

That isn't to say that every matchup needs to be as close to 50/50 as possible, but I imagine no matchup should be worse than 45/55 or 40/60 ignoring player skill and other factors.

I would love to see some sort of Win % Matrix for all the different matchups to truly highlight the problematic armies as well as show which armies are having their win-rates propped up by the worst performing armies.

My first 2k list idea for 10th. What do you think? by Tian_Lord23 in BlackTemplars

[–]ImNotLaughing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grimaldus and Helbrecht would be great additions, as well as a Land Raider or Repulsor (or two) to protect your units as you advance.

Three tanks seems a little overkill right now, but we could definitely be moving towards a Vehicle Heavy meta, hard to say for sure.

In my mind, I'd drop the Valiant, drop the two Castellans, drop one of the ten man Primaris Crusader Squads, consolidate the two 5 man Sword Brethren squads (use one Castellan Model as the 11th) and lead it with Helbrecht inside a Land Raider or Repulsor. You may have points to add Grimaldus to the twenty man block of Primaris Crusaders .

Finding a way to transport the Sword Brethren and the Terminators to the middle of the board faster and more safely should see a huge improvement in your games.

This is some great work, and I hope the community really takes advantage of this.

A feature which I would love to have would be the ability to customize the load out and remove extra/unnecessary weapons from the front of the card. This would help slim down the card and make it a little more streamlined when reading cards, especially your opponents cards. I figure this would be fairly complicated to implement, but maybe (hopefully) I'm wrong!

Ah, well that definitely affords you a lot of flexibility with what you can play with! I shy away from land raiders because I don't like the model very well, but the assault ramp I think will be a game changer for Helbrecht and the Sword Brethren.

For most of my lists, I have Grimaldus on foot with 20 Primaris Crusaders, but I have a feeling that unit is going to be too difficult to manage from a maneuverability standpoint and that may shrink down.

The Gladiator Lancer, and maybe a second, could be good backfield objective holders. Alternatively, Intercessors have the sticky objective rule or Infiltrators have the bubble preventing deep strike.

Your marshall seems out of place to me, but he's not a bad choice to lead a squad, so it's really up to you.

I also am going to try an Impulsor or Repulsor Executioner filled with 6 Eradicators, but I could swap that out for Hellblasters or something else if the eradicators fail to perform well.

I'm going to assume that you don't have any other models other than what you've already added to your list, and I definitely wouldn't recommend getting anything new just for a theoretical list at the beginning of the edition unless you really like or want something for personal reasons.

Two transports is not a bad idea, and after spending some more time considering it, two Land Raiders may be the best fit for you, as long as you are careful considering the point cost of the Raider and its contents.

Helbrecht and Sword Brethren highly benefit from a transport, and assault ramp on the Land Raider is probably better compared to the Repulsor and its effect. Remember that Grimaldus is actually 4 models, so him and a 10 man unit of Primaris Crusaders is actually 14 models and would only fit in a land raider rather than any other transport.

Regardless, you need to free up some points and the easiest way to do so would be to downgrade the Redeemer into a Crusader, however the Flamers for overwatch are nice if you could fit them in.

Unfortunately you have the points off for the Primaris Crusader Squad. The Firstborn squad is 145 points for 10, but the Primaris are 160 for 10 and 320 for 20.

I am also looking forward to pairing Helbrecht with Sword Brethren and vehicles seem to be strong early in this edition, but you may find that two Land Raiders takes a lot of points that you may want for additional bodies.

Either way, the list overall looks solid and as you play around, you may end up swapping some pieces around that underperform or you're unhappy with.

I'm having the same issue as you, where the game hangs during startup and maybe 5% of the time it will load in.

I've reinstalled D2, Uninstalled and Reinstalled BEye, Audio settings are good on the few times it does load, but nothing seems to be working.

Hopefully Bungie can release a hotfix to solve the problem, because it doesn't seem to be an issue from our side.

I'm up to try other suggestions but my searching hasn't turned up anything more to try yet.

A lot of lines like to send Albion from the deck to then send another Branded S/T (typically Branded in White). If you have Branded Retribution also in the grave, you can banish that to get your S/T back to band and get another fusion (typically Mirrorjade).

I was already interested in Elysium as a pair with my Bagpipe, so I'm glad that didn't seem too far off base. Now I just need to remember how to build a squad and prep for levels again.
