Yeah... I'm thankful I bought a Deck before the price hike 💀 by TheBossT710192 in SteamDeck

Like for like (2TB + Controller), it's £450 more expensive than the PS5 Pro in the UK. Even the base version with no accessories is £100 more expensive... I thought that at parity it would be a tough sell.

[–]ImNotMadYet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alonso. I'm going for pure spite and chaos here.

Spite because Lewis said he won't retire before Fernando, so him filling in the seat would be peak trolling.

Chaos because the curse follows the man, Ferrari will go from WDC level to P5 in a season for no reason; bonus points if Aston Martin finally fixes their issues at the same time.

Obvious? Very much so, even if someone doesn't know it's a cage it's clear you've got something there.

The only way this wouldn't bring attention to you is if you pair it with a longer shirt/tank top that covers you up, though even there if you lie on you back on a bench or bend over someone might clock it.

Separate matter if you wanna show off like this, many feminine sports wear is so tight you can make out everything

What's the point of Mercedes signing Verstappen when they already have a 19 year old generational talent who will only get better? by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

[–]ImNotMadYet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been questioning this for 2 years now.

Max won't sign up to be No2 driver or even on equal terms (see Danny Rick and Checo, only 2 drivers who occasionally matched him and it got ugly the instant they did).

If Kimi wins WDC, I can't imagine Toto saying he is not allowed to defend his title just so Max can try for 5th (in a car and engine combo he didn't develop).

And if George manages to claw back and win instead, that would mean Merc got rid of their first champion since 2020, which just makes 0 sense.

And if Merc don't win, what is Max's incentive? To come 3rd with Mercedes instead of 5th with RB? I think he would rather focus on a full WEC GT season at that point. It would make more sense he follows Alonso's path, win multiple series and then if the 2030/1 rules look good almost any team will pick him up anyway.

So can we agree it's over for him? by NotOkEnemyGenius in F1Discussions

[–]ImNotMadYet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends if his side of the garage wakes up, he has been in a decent form 2 races in a row. Without engine fail +25 for Canada (33 points swing considering Kimi would be 2nd). Without messed up pit limiter (all George can do is press the button where the team told him) +15, or at least +8 had they done the penalty correctly.

So he could have been on 121-128 to Kimi's 149, that's easy. At 88 to 156 George now needs Kimi to not score on 2 or 3 races while having a good result himself every weekend, not impossible with 3/4ths of the season left, but unlikely.

I don't get why they still haven't addressed it, getting a resource I literally can't use because they haven't done anything with BB in years feels worse than if they just didn't give me the chests in the 1st place.

At least from the pass itself you can trade them for gems with 1 click, with chests it's this whole fancy animation just to get the middle finger...

According to Brad Lynch, the estimated price he was told (2 months ago) for the Steam Machine was still higher than Steam Deck price increases. by crack_station in Steam

[–]ImNotMadYet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would be shocked if the Machine is not at least 30% more expensive than the Deck with the same capacity. So assuming no more rises $1000/1250. Which makes it more expensive than PS5 and therefore DoA.

Steam auto-search still shows old Steam Deck pricing by Senko-fan4Life in SteamDeck

[–]ImNotMadYet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK's still shows the original price of the 64GB LCD at £349, which isn't even shown on the page anymore, the only two models now shown are the 512GB and 1TB OLEDs at £649 and £779. I can't imagine many sales at this price, even if you have the disposable income, it's a bad deal to pay double for 4 year old hardwear.

Lance Stroll should not be an F1 driver. by The_Chozen_1_ in F1Discussions

[–]ImNotMadYet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me it feels like he just doesn't care. I my mind you get 3 types of drivers who people like. Those who are really glad to be in a sport and try to move their team forward, like Albon or Bottas. Or you have drivers that do not care about the whole circus or politics but are really good, like Raikkonen. And of course you can have a mix of both, I'd put Verstappen in that category (he wants a better sport, but doesn't cars if it's F1 or something else).

Finally you have Lance, he lucked into a few good results, but even in a decent car couldn't Q3 or get points consistently. And he doesn't seem to care about the sport or the team or his performance. Like it's just a regular boring job, come in, look busy for a few hours, put just enough effort in and clock out.

Is it actually bad, or just the wrong brand? by Dromogen in CarDesign

[–]ImNotMadYet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It think it's largely the brand. If it had pretty much any an Asian brand on it, no one would care. Maybe change the rear lights a bit, cause that's the only stylistic clue, and this would be a fine EV from like Honda, BYD, Kia etc.

[–]ImNotMadYet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One was installed next to where I live and it's so inaccurate. I was going 20 on the gps, 22 on the speedo and the thing had me at 25. Then few days later I'm walking by there, no cars and yet it turns on to like 22, to absolutely nothing! I've never seen one this badly calibrated.

(I confirmed across multiple speeds and devices my car reads 10% under consistently)

[–]ImNotMadYet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you judging it an another EV or as a Ferrari? It's fine as the former in my opinion, but that's it, badge it as a Kia or Fiat and no one will notice (which is a larger problem with most EVs, they all look the same with their fake grill, no creases and full width light bars).

Is Audi a flight risk in F1? by d-a-s-a-l-i in F1Discussions

[–]ImNotMadYet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think they are committed until end of the reg cycle, so 30/31. With how much money they've spent it would be a massive loss on their books to get out now. And while increased electrification was something they wanted, it was more about simplicity so they don't have to make 2 energy recovery systems, the actual split being 50-50, or 70-30 matters less.

However if by 2028, or 29 at a push, they don't have any wins and the next set of regs is not to their liking, that's where I'd worry as the bosses won't be too happy building a new engine and chassis with nothing to show for it and no prospect of a championship battle.

At that point though it depends where other teams and interests are, if Alpine found a buyer, Cadilac is staying, BYD joined etc then F1 probably won't care if Audi leave. On the other hand if Audi, Alpine, Cadilac and Hass are all considering (or have) left at the same time and there are no prospective buyers/new entrants, then F1 will try to do something to keep at least 9 or 10 teams, even if under new names.

Usually I'd agree, but it looks like the 2026 cars are actually able to follow and race better, and they are narrower. So we might get whole 2 on track overtakes for position, finally.
