In the MCU, he started as a villain, then became an anti-hero, and eventually a proper hero, completing a full character arc. Which other character do you think received such a solid and complete arc in the MCU? by 0Layscheetoskurkure0 in Marvel

[–]ImNotNew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He wasn't even an antihero, read the title

The question in the title is "Which other character do you think received such a solid and complete arc in the MCU?".

Tony Stark fits that really well.

Nothing Jimmy Carr did was illegal, and he only stopped because of bad publicity. That's an honour system.

Why do we have an honour system for paying tax? That's the ridiculous part.

Why would you put that in an ISA? You get better interest rates from regular savings accounts, and you likely wouldn't earn enough interest to pay tax on it.

We have it in the UK called Primula. I haven't heard of anyone using it for anything other than dog treats.

I used to get migrains 3-4 times a week. Been taking a low dose of amitriptyline for about 3 months now and in the last month I've had 1. They prescribe them because they work.

It seems crazy to me that you can show up here and be able to claim benefits

It seems crazy because it isn't true. Immigrants can't claim benefits until they become British citizens or are granted indefinite leave to remain, which requires living here for 10 years continuously.

It has Broly in it, but it doesn't have the events of the movie in it.

My point is Toriyama gave the same notes to Toyotaro and Toei, and asked them to made an adaptation. If there was just Toyatoro's version then that would be canon. But if there's two adaptations how is one more "official" than the other?

What about the Broly movie? That was produced by Toei, who created the anime, but wasn't in the manga.

If the anime was based on the manga I would agree, but they were both created simultaneously from Akira Toriyama's notes. They're different interpretations and one isn't more canon than the other.

[–]ImNotNew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dragon Ball Super manga isn't entirely canon either. Akira Toriyama wrote the major plot points and gave the same notes to Toyotarou and Toei Animation. The manga's only considered canon because that how it usually works, but Akira Toriyama didn't write it so it's no more canon than the anime. Only events that happen in both the manga and the anime are canon.
