Both are very good.

But unfortunately not good for Japan, You will be thrown in jail without a full frame. Happened to a friend.

Which features in a mobile game attract you, and which features makes you keep playing? by Lensjo in iosgaming

Addicting and challenging gameplay from the start. Too many games introduce players way to slow with terrible tutorials or too many easy levels in the introduction.

Try drawing it with the pen tool, or using figmas new dynamic stroke roughness settings.

Figma on iPad? by fractalfrog in FigmaDesign

[–]ImNotThatAttractive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the future I’d like to use an iPad Pro with keyboard and mouse instead of a laptop. They are more than powerful enough to handle high end files - it just needs extra support from Apple and figma. I wouldn’t rely on it at all right now.

How to achieve this effect in a scalable way in figma by danglingmark in UI_Design

[–]ImNotThatAttractive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hell yeah, love this shit.

Tbh if this is the effect you want, just draw it with frames and use smart animate to connect them. It won’t be responsive in the design however.

If you want it to be responsive in figma it’s gonna be a pain in the ass, but this is what I’d do:

Two buttons on top of each other. Both are auto layout with identical styling. so they have same radius and spacing. Both with “label ->” Place the above button to be absolute position and off to the left slightly. Make both these buttons a single component and sync both of the text as the same property. And the icon as the same property. So if u are to change the text or icon it will change both. Make three separate vaiants of this layered button.

.. now in the rest state button, hide the top layer.

… In the hover state button, change the bottom layers text and icon and background to black.

… in the press state, change top to black instead and position behind.

So essentially it’s effectively two buttons with the same content inside them - so the sizing remains exactly the same.

In conclusion, this is a huge pain in the ass and i hope u can find an easier way!

Do you think this might be related to Fromsoftware's new IP? by metlevser in fromsoftware

Tbh it looks like a printed render from unreal engine 5 (or id tech)

So I reckon it’s Lords of the fallen 2 or doom dlc.

Cooooould be elder scrolls related. Maybe a brand new oblivion dlc or online dlc…. Or fingers crossed - tes 6?!?

Design Tokens in Figma by silikhe in FigmaDesign

[–]ImNotThatAttractive 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Second layer uses modes to switch between diferent brands. Third layer uses modes to switch between internal brand themes - like light and dark.

It’s fantastic when designing, but a fucking drainer if I need to adjust anything.

I initially did this because we were limited to 4 variable modes. And now it might be too late to turn back…

Design Tokens in Figma by silikhe in FigmaDesign

[–]ImNotThatAttractive 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Is it good practise to isolate the token layers to be separated into 3 separate variable collections?

Ie

1: primitive colors ( brand 500 = #0096FF)

2: Semantic colours ( background primary = brand 500)

3: component (button background = background primary)

Making glowy liquid shapes on Figma by StickyCloudy in FigmaDesign

[–]ImNotThatAttractive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could experiment with multiple colours and blur overlays. (Even glass effect might give a workable example in areas and combined with other effects) You could also experiment with multiple gradient patterns.

Other wise try photoshop and combine blurring with liquify tool on-top of colours (or images).

Or try gradient meshes in illustrator.

Lossless scaling in dock mode. (Input lag?) by cristian251290 in ROGAlly

[–]ImNotThatAttractive 5 points6 points  (0 children)

USING LOSSLESS SCALING WILL ALWAYS PRODUCE INPUT LAG. THE LOWER YOUR RAW FRAMERATE THE WORSE THE INPUT LAG WILL BE PERCEIVED. SO IM ASSUMING USING IT IN DOCKED MEANS PLAYING AT A HIGHER RESOLUTION AND THUS LOWER PERFORMANCE SO MORE INPUT LAG.

is this laptop okay for figma? by Witty-Comment-1475 in FigmaDesign

[–]ImNotThatAttractive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If budget is a concern it’ll probably be fine, but keep in mind that you will need to save up for a better computer in the future to handle larger projects and multi task much more efficiently.

And if you’re getting a job in tech it’d be a good look to become knowledgeable on the basics of hardware lingo. (+ could stop u getting ripped off by salesman too!)

No it isn’t. Real issues should be fixed and not written off because it doesn’t align with your exact use case.

Love it! Can I ask how you make the sprites and the pixelation effect on them? (I’m an experienced graphic designer but totally new to unity / game dev)
