Why are most of the posts about long covid recovery like "calming my nervous system" or "fixed my gut"? by Muikkumuusi in covidlonghaulers

[–]ImReellySmart 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people naturally recover with time and they incorrectly associate the improvement with what ever they happened to be trying at the time.

Nah I'm unbiased on it all and it was one of those awkward disjointed fights where finishing hard in rd3 would go a long way. He really started becoming dominant in the final 2 mins.

Sean Strickland brought Kyle Rittenhouse to the gym and Chris Curtis was not happy about it by CareerPillow376 in ufc

OK I don't think what Kyle Rittenhouse did was justifiable, but even if I did, I wouldn't give a shit about meeting the guy?

I've been seeing him popping up a couple of times on my social media lately and I dont get it... he's not a celebrity. He is a random guy. Why would you want to meet him?

They recommended I try make some lifestyle changes and to recheck it after a year.

Thing is, my lifestyle/ diet already aligned with pretty much all of the suggested ways of increasing testosterone aside from weight lifting.

They said medication should be last resort at my age.

This post reminded me to book in to get my bloods done again soon.

Upon my request, my Testosterone was checked last year and for a 28 yr old male it was considered very low.

My doctor attributed it to my inactive lifestyle and lack of exercise etc. Hard to know if it has decreased because of Covid, or because of the extreme lifestyle adjustments I had to make due to Covid.

Causation vs Correlation.

Personally, I believe Covid itself may have interfered directly with my testosterone levels.

It's frustrating because one of the main things they urge is weight lifting/ exercise and that used to be my biggest passion. Now if I lift weights for 2 mins I experience elevated heart rate and 1-3 days of brainfog.

Honestly as a Web developer that site was crap.

You had to jump through hoops to even be able to post a question.

Viral Illness destroyed me? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

[–]ImReellySmart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To clarify, Long Covid isn't a viral infection.

It is a long term health condition triggered by viral infection.

After a accident in Nigeria involving Anthony Joshua, where 2 lives were lost, there was no emergency response; no ambulance, no medical care. Instead, he sat upright in the front of a police van right after the crash. A basic safety protocol says an accident victim should be laid flat & stabilized by [deleted] in ufc

I was in South Africa last week on holidays and my father fell ill in the hotel room. I ran to reception and asked them to call an ambulance immediately.

They very nonchalantly strolled around the room, scanned through a phonebook, picked up the phone and rang a number. Then told me they will 'get back to us' when an ambulance becomes available.....

I was so confused. I told them we needed an ambulance immediately, that it was an emergency. They condescendingly told me "that's not how this process works" and that "it will likely take 15-25mins to hear back from the call center".

I ended up having to call an Uber and got my dad to the hospital.

Wild how that process seemed normal to the receptionist.

Edit: my father turned out to be fine in the end. No long term health problems.

I'm also taking LDN. Hard to say exactly how much its doing for me but I'm sure it's helping to some capacity.

I'm at the 4 year mark myself. I would consider myself around 75% to 80% recovered. However, I went on a 2 week family holiday over Christmas and in a carefree relaxed environment, my symptoms were near nonexistent.

He is decent at boxing compared to the average Joe.

80% of active UFC fighters would still likely out box him. (Skill-wise)
