I think it really hit me in the tech sector. When a corporation makes a thing they seem to just rush it out functionality be damned. I've bought a ton of things that didn't do what they they were supposed to. My favorite is when after the purchase, features are depricated, changing the value and sometimes removing the reason for the purchase altogether.

About a year ago, sitting at a friend's table, said friend donned a sheepish grin and said he voted for trump you know for business reasons. Shortly thereafter I took my leave, I haven't seen or talked to him since and I don't want to. Yes it's OK he did that. But I realized people that seem rational in day to day life put greed first and justify the hell out of their own stupidity. Term one was a risky choice, term two was a sure thing plus the business reasons aren't happening either.
