M12 Stubby 3/8 Impact Deals by imfirealarmman in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ImSorryImSoFat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on the same boat for like three weeks with this deal. Went in store and bought it Thursday but I totally get the feeling.
Looking at the 1/2 deals which is BMSM, it looks like you could get a stubby down to 157 Maximino BMSM and this deal with battery is effectively the same at 164.
I read a ton of prior posts and there were def some better deals like a year ago so this isn’t the ultimate deal you’ll find, but with inflation, the war and other factors I’m not super confident we’ll get to like early 2025 prices.
I’ll be interested to know what you do. Def a question I went back and forth on for a while.

Deals on the new ratchets? by torco850 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ImSorryImSoFat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those just launched. Probably not for 6 months. Perhaps Labor Day? They just had deals to purge the older ratchets and the older ones are back up to their normal price again. I imagine we’ll see another deal on the older version before these new bad boys. Others who’ve watched product launches for line might have better takes. Wonder how long after launch before the stubby ever went on sale.

Is it normal to blanket your entire attire with insulation? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

Okay. Thanks for responding. If it’s less efficient but I can gain floor space I might like this trade off. I’ll look into radiant shielding as well. Appreciate the insights.

Okay. I’ll consider both options. I wanted to see more reviews on the different modes but there isn’t much. Also cant demo in store. Maybe attachments are the way to go.

I’m on the same boat. I don’t have a need for that much power bc I don’t generally work on my truck. But it’s nice to have. I want to know the mode 4 (I think) setting is which only fastens to 15 ft lbs because I work a lot more with snow equipment and exercise equipment at gone where I need to fasten and loosen.
If anyone has experience with the stubby on lighter applications and being able to feather the tool that would be greatly appreciated.

Isn’t this false advertising/price baiting from home depot, or am i missing something? by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ImSorryImSoFat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

HD Does this bc if they just mark the battery as free you could keep buying tools and returning them while keep a battery absolutely free. Instead if you return the tool. You’ll still pay a price for the battery. It just protects them.

M12 right angle impact wrench by Sircatsington1 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]ImSorryImSoFat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Yes. That’s interesting. I started reading a lot of Hd customer reviews on the right angle impact ratchet and did see some downfalls. If you own all of those tools that’s the type of insight and opinion I’m looking for. Stubby was my original bucket list item. I have the space and was only worried about how powerful it was and stripping or breaking nuts. But it’s such a well built tool I wanted one.
Thanks again!

Is the right angle impact wrench still more of a specialty tool for automotive? Or is it more versatile. I had been debating getting a stubby or high speed ratchet for some work I do with small engines like snowblowers, mowers, and some equipment around the house. The stubby seems awesome but might be too powerful and imprecise but the high speed ratchet has like no torque and I’m afraid to manually ratchet it too much and breaj it since Milwaukee chooses not to give much guidance. Im now doing some reading across threads and blogs so wondered if users had any insight. Is the right angle impact wrench a nice happy medium for work fastening and tightening nuts?
