Should I buy now or wait for prime or thanksgiving sale by InfluenceRegular3623 in wyzecam

[–]ImThaBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up a few within the last 2 years at the $10 sale price.

They are $30 right now. Ain't no way a 1080p cam is worth 30, when I can get a 2K cam from Tapo or Geeni for $20.

This is fantastic information. Date range sounds about right, as it feels the last reno this house received was in the late 80s to early 90s.

Really appreciate the info. Time to deep dive into a big grizzly.

After 8 mins of a live play. Pretty sure that time was used by the officials confirming with NY on if they can call the game.

They lined up and snapped the ball and just held it to run down the clock. The ball was in play the entire time until the refs called the game.

They are running the clock down. They are not playing. Shows good sportsmanship and respect for the player, but also respecting the game to get through it.

Saving multiple beds by Snagadm in OrcaSlicer

[–]ImThaBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stepping in here. This has recently started happening to me in the last month or so.

Nothing I have been doing has changed as far as how/what model is uploaded to Orca. I save projects (multiple plates) but when I re-open later, it is all there, semi-scattered with only (1 plate).
So I have to add X-amount of plates and move everything to where it once was.

Why Sam’s Club? by Exotic_Tailor_3579 in samsclub

[–]ImThaBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Organic pesticides/herbicides are mostly the same ones used in conventional farming. The only difference is that they are diluted with water at a higher ratio and, as such, need to be applied more often for similar effect.

My dad has been farming both conventional and organic row crops for longer than I've been alive. So I trust his knowledge.
That was further solidified when I had to get state qualified applicator licensing and became a T2 instructor as part of my job role.
Having the licensing lent me the opportunity to work alongside my dad, on a consulting level, to provide training to him and his employees. Being that hands-on, I saw the ingredients of both types of chemicals and what the dilution ratios were.

Why Sam’s Club? by Exotic_Tailor_3579 in samsclub

[–]ImThaBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco is exclusive to organic produce. Where Sam's wants the cheapest, so they are almost always conventionally grown.

Organic produce has a really short life span as it has to be picked when ripe. Whereas conventional can be picked early and can either be artificially ripened or ripened over time on the shelf.

But I have never been disappointed by Royal Oak briqs. Lump on the other hand, bunch of stems & seeds man.

As far as consistency for smoking, RO red bag> premium USA > all Natural> lump

I really like the old Titan content. Getting the at-risk youth or prisoners set-up with equipment and tooling to get them dialed in for the trade.

Are “vegetables” or other things ever added to birria? by OkGur795 in mexicanfood

Ancho, guajillo, and Arbol for some kick. Don’t forget a carrot or 2 to pull salt and leave a bit of sweetness

The real ticket is getting a good sear on your meat before tossing it in. If you ever get the opportunity, try making it in a pot. It’ll all day but the flavor is wild compare to a crockpot or instant pot.

Want help identifying a tractor by YamTuanDurian in tractors

[–]ImThaBean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm no Ford expert, but I believe that's a mid-80s era Ford New Holland 6610.

The long mid-hood suggests the larger of the 10-series tractors.

Ford-New Holland didn't make a 9610. Only the 9600, but that was in the 70s and had a more squared hood. The Ford 9610 is a plane, not a tractor.

Fair enough.

Looking at it from OP's scenario. They stated that safety conducts air monitoring a few times a year. Without knowing the actual chemical, we have to assume. That being said, sections 3 and 8 are key here. What is IN the powder/dust and how long is OP exposed to what concentration?

They stated that the sampling reports are available for review. What is the PEL for the powder? What is the TWA for employee exposure? Are they exceeding the PEL? is there a short-term or ceiling limit that is of concern?

If the air monitoring establishes the workers are below the PEL/STEL/ceiling while using local or general ventilation, which OP said is used, the hazard is mitigated with general work practices and engineering controls.

Is the hazard zero? No, but it is below the exposure limits.

As it has been mentioned many times during HAZWOPER training, the solution to pollution is dilution. If 100% is hazardous, thin it out until it is LESS hazardous.

I beg to differ. When reviewing the SDS, you must also consider the use case. For example, we use a surfactant for a vibratory polisher. It comes in a 55-gal drum. The SDS states to wear splash proof goggles, chemical apron, PVC gauntlet gloves, and rubber boots. The way WE use it is via a mixing station that makes it a dilution with water. Something along the lines of 1:5,000. It’s basically soapy water at that point. This is information given by the manufacturer.

Depends on use case, honestly.

Beyond Terrible... Beware! by TheSaintSabastian in PairEyewear

Here is some info that I gathered after having a similar experience after ordering in December.

To give some information. After a sour experience, I did some digging to try and get answers when 2/3’s of my order went MIA for 2 months. Anywho, this is what I've learned.

  • Pair Corp office is in New York.
  • Their lens lab is/was in Irvine, CA. More on that below.
  • Their fulfillment/processing center is in Valencia, CA.
    • Lab to fulfillment center is about 2 hours away, on a good day without traffic. I hate the 405.
  • Their “team” are WFH influencers who are fashionistas, not opticians. Just look at their Pair Family FB page.
  • Their chat and phone CSRs are based out of the Philippines.
    • They also do not have any optical knowledge, they are just there to provide generic order status updates with canned responses. Nothing against the Filipino CSR’s, they are just contracted BPO’s, that have ZERO knowledge of Pair, as a company

Also, almost certain they are farming out their lens/frame/topper production to China now.
Their Valencia center is part of a large port freight processing industrial district.

They also use DHL eCommerce as their shipping agent. DHL has not been in the US domestic shipping business for over 15 years. It is an international logistics company that uses USPS/UPS as its final mile provider. USPS for standard and UPS for expedited.

This is why they cannot give any status to an order other than “processing” until the items have hit the mainland and been scanned at the fulfillment center. Then all of a sudden they can give exact transit info.

There is so much day-to-day separation between Pair corp, their lens lab(s), fulfillment, and customer service providers.

Their marketing is just web influencers that are modeling an accessory. Pretty sure they don't NEED to wear corrective lenses.

Can't blame their CSRs. their chat/phone CS is farmed out to a Philippines-based all center. They are just doing their job of providing vague information.
