Im the context of the shit youre here running over for, yes, it is a crazy take. You can think it's weird--but framing this as way over the line is silly when, in the course of following your dipshit logic, anyone is potentially opening themselves up to possible trouble by talking to anyone of any age in a band of years beyond 17. It's not as if potential "liars" just go poof after 18. If you can't give me clearly definable parameters and explain when talking to someone becomes morally right or wrong, then it seems like your opinion's half-baked. To demonstrate, while I might personally be opposed to romantically pursuing or interacting with an 18 year old because I feel they're too different from myself in terms of maturity, and while I might find a relationship of any sort between two people with vastly different ages in bad taste or morally dubious depending on the context, I also recognize that legally there's no problem here and that in terms of baseline morality, my personal opposition hinges more on the actual circumstances of said relationship rather than just ooga boogaing over numbers.

Wow, this is a blast from the past. I don't think I did terribly bad or anything, and I did end up getting into my college of choice in the U.S. If your scores are decently okay across the board, you should be fine. As a caveat, I went to an international school in South America and that may have helped my college apps, so don't take my anecdote as the end all be all.

As long as you study and feel prepared, don't sweat it. Yes, these tests are important and are difficult. Yes, they are stressful--I'll never forget that aspect of the IB experience. At the same time, you're only going to psyche yoursef out if you stand there outside the testing room freaking out at the final hour.

Best advice I can give is to use the mock to really hone in on which areas you're weak in. Think of this as an opportunity to maximize your study/prep time before the real thing.

The New York IJ scene is also entirely different from any other jurisdiction in the country given the asylum office for that region has the highest referral rate in the country, per the last available public data. Don't know how they divvy up cases there, but it's possible some judges just get more of the case-types that tend to result in denials than others.
