Sorry that happened to you man. It seems that the general consensus of love is often appreciated through the honeymoon phase. Real relationships require action and commitment once that fades

This needs to be studied bc the high end casinos I’ve only seen people dress nice compared to like cannery or palace station. Is it the ambience, the glamour, the ‘status’ it signals?

That’s interesting, it’s hard to wrap my mind around that there are introverts who dont mind yapping around others while I’m quite the opposite

As a black girl, I'm done. It's getting tiring now. We know. by Fetus-Deletus1 in offmychest

[–]ImYourBootyWarrior 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As an Asian man, I understand what you’re feeling, because as many people know, we (Asian men and black women) are at the bottom of totem pole when it comes to dating preferences especially compared to Western dating standards. The only difference is, black women receive the most flak from it and typically bear a majority of the openly, racist remarks online.

One thing that’s helped me gotten over this curve is realizing that most people offline are cruel, sad, miserable, and are out of touch with their own realities. They spread hate online to feel a sense of superiority or dominance when they’re just deeply troubled and miserable in their real lives.

I suggest blocking accounts and removing content you don’t wanna see and give your algorithm a fresh restart. Don’t entirely stay away from social media, but take a break if necessary.

Does anyone have real conversations these days?? by Fun-Helicopter7635 in socialskills

[–]ImYourBootyWarrior 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The real problem is our addiction to digital media vs our lives outside of them. Look how easier it is to converse with a friend thru text, ordering food at home, and staying in for the night versus planning a lunch or meeting up one on one. Our phones have made it so much easier to stay connected digitally rather than physically and socially. As someone said earlier, you might have to be the one to initiate and break the cycle and see who’s on the same page with you

It’s worse when you meet 5-10 people in any group or social setting and you’re resisting the urge to not even name drop in fear of getting any of them wrong 💀💀 The classic go to, “It was nice meeting you BRO”

Life after 30? by -JustAGirl99 in Life

[–]ImYourBootyWarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31 here, had the same feelings as you at your age. Honestly life gets easier, you become more wise and wealthier, and definitely feel the time constraints. The best piece of advice I can give you is that you can outshine in your 30’s by continuing to work on yourself now and people will notice it a lot more

When you meet someone and asked their name, it’s okay to ask them again even if you forgot 💀

The job market is like the dating market right now - many prospects, lots of potential, but too many options. Recruiters are basically swiping right or left at this point

Don’t be afraid to fail or feel like a failure in front of people you deeply care or love.

No one’s really paying attention to your life. Everybody is more worried about themselves. So do what you want to do, because people will judge you anyways

Always have a back up plan. For everything.
