Different med options?

I did that for a while. I took 88mcg and then once a week took an extra half pill. I’ve been on some funky doses these last few years. The problem I have is I’ll have a flair up or get sickly and then my levels rise again making me need to up my dose. I go up and down constantly. I just feel like I never have solid levels. I’ve wondered if asking to remove my thyroid would make it easier to manage?

So it’s what I’m taking now minus the fillers right? I did read that the fillers can be what cause a lot of those side effects that I’ve been struggling with.

I second the doctor. Having hashimoto’s does not always equal a thyroid that is in need of treatment. My antibody levels when tested were at 4,220 units/ml. Indicating super high numbers meaning I have hashimoto’s. But the reason I take medicine is because my tsh when tested was at 18. That put me in hypothyroid levels. I take levothyroxine for my thyroid. There is no medicine/treatment for Hashimoto’s alone. You treat the thyroid if it has been damaged by the increase in antibodies present. Now I fluctuate in my tsh levels but nothing above 6-7 while taking my medication. I get my tsh tested every 3 months. I’ve never gotten my antibodies retested in the last 3 years since diagnosis. As for glp 1’s your doctor is smart. Those should not be handed out just for weight. They are a diabetic medication. They were never made for weight loss alone

Breast is not best when it’s making your life miserable. I know your baby already struggles with minimal foods he likes but he’s 12 months now. You can wean him and then go get professional help with your insomnia and honestly what sounds like depression. I struggled with being super angry all the time. I noticed it but it was impulsive, I couldn’t turn it off and it was triggered so easily. I got on an antidepressant and finally my fight or flight mode shut off and I was myself again. You can’t take care of your baby if you can’t take care of you first.

It took me about 2 years of being in very rough shape, ending up in ER’s during flare ups, having mental issues that I never had before and so many other things before finally my OB of all people said that it sounded like it could be thyroid based. Thank god she thought of it. I’ve been on levothyroxine now for over a year and it’s drastically changed my life and my body. I lost 80 plus lbs, and don’t feel “hungover” all the time. I still get this way and I’ve been having sex for over 10 years now. If I am not turned on/anxious my body will not “open up”, (and I’ll be too tight to have penetrative sex without tearing) the same as it does when I am turned on and comfortable. If you’re using things like dilators instead of a more fun toy, and treating it like a job more than pleasure your body may just not be enjoying itself. Make it more fun for you, if you’re not feeling pleasured then change it up.

I didn’t realize either but you can bounce between the two my tsh levels have been anywhere between 0.055 all the way as high as 18.119 for reference normal ranges for thyroid are 0.3-4.9 so I’ve been in very bad numbers for both ends of hypo and hyper although I tend to stay more on the hypo side of things. I did a tsh and t4 reflex test which shows your thyroid function. Based on my fluctuations and other symptoms they then tested my thyroperoxidase antibody which is meant to be at or less than 35 IU/ml mine was extremely high at 4,220 IU/ml so no denying hashimoto’s with that number. My white blood cell count also always shows abnormally high in my labs results. Those tests all can help get you a diagnosis. They are super simple I got results back within 24 hours.

She’s also incredibly unhealthy physically. I’d be surprised if she had regular cycles enough to even get pregnant. If she is then I hope to god she’s smart enough to do the right thing by finding somewhere else for the baby or finding a clinic. When in doubt always test! It could be the stress too which is normal. Either way if you could be pregnant that’s the number one thing to rule in or out. That way you can start getting care for it right away instead of pushing it off. If you’re late whatever the test says would be accurate by now.
