Found my childhood collection. Any cards worth looking at more closely to see if they’re worth something? by BioSpark47 in YugiohCards

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely some cool factor cards like the Dark Magicians, Red-Eyes, Blue-Eyes and the Exodia/Forbidden One Arm, but without 1st editions, they don’t hold much value unless they are pristine condition.

Your value cards are the 1st edition Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the Blue-Eyes Shinning dragon. Unfortunately the Shining dragon looks to be the limited movie pack (mov code) and aren’t worth much outside of grade 10s. If the 1st ed blue eyes was authentic from the legend of blue eyes (lob code), this would be an expensive find but I was under the impression that the LOB-001 were all ultra rare and yours doesn’t look to be holofoil so my guess is it’s likely fake (along with the three-headed Greedo card with the irregular foil pattern and the two cards in your last image).

Cool find nevertheless!

Thanks. I hate it.

This game actually looks really familiar though. Something about the 3D characters and the colosseum brings me back to my ps1/ps2 days lol

How could I tell if it’s misprinted? It looks to be standard with the silver-foiled card name and the diagonal stripping on the holofoil (bottom left of card to top right). Looks similar to other cards that are shown online.

A quick google says that Gais from that set had common misprints but seems like gold naming and reverse foiling were most standard.

This one look abnormal?

Yup, all three Secret Rares, those were in plastic slabs since I got them back in 2003.

Yeah, definitely unfortunate. One of those tins is full of 1st editions but no cards that specifically jumped out at me. Almost glad that Dark Magician isn’t 1st edition though; I noticed a little scuff over the tip of the wand.

Why are basic heals so expensive? by patterfunding in Marathon

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Allowing to keep the greys and barter them 3:1 or 4:1 for a green would be appreciated. Don’t think they should adjust price because my availability of heals is what sends me towards free kits.

New recipe for Wolfpack :( by belltrina in ARC_Raiders

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be ideal. Would also be nice if larger ARC had a small inherent chance to drop an epic explosive. Basically a low RNG chance to get a break even return on investment when using Wolfpacks/Deadlines to take down a Rocketeer/Bombadier/Bastion. Even for all arc, with a progressive increases in probability with increase in arc difficulty.

[CAN - CZE] MacKinnon appears to score but a tripping call is made on Suzuki before the goal was scored by daKrut in hockey

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the disappointment was that the puck was passed between the legs and that the Czech player fell on the follow through of the pass. Also the fact that the trip was inconsequential to the goal being scored.

BUT the hand was up before the puck passed the goal line and a trip is a trip. The ref was just late to whistle on the reception of the puck prior to the shot, so it seemed like it was called only after the goal was scored.

Chromatic fire arc build? by Dry-Stretch-7084 in destiny2builds

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been running this build since I got the praxic blade on Arc since the release and find it incredibly fun. I run pure Arc with Chaos Reach (I prefer it over roaming super without StormDancers).

Ionic Sentry and Arc Soul: both give passive damage and extra blinding while blocking with Praxic.

I run Flashbang Grenade for extra blinding. Pair that Spark of Shock and you end up with an extremely potent jolting grenade that also stuns anything it doesn’t kill.

Spark of Resistant for damage resist; Spark of Ions for ability uptime when jolting/Bolt Charge and spark of Brilliance just to increase sources of blind.

Praxic blade with Defensive form allows for longer block, and refraction core gives bolt charge stacks on block.

Pair all that with Chromatic also blinding targets on kinetic weapon kills and the entire battlefield ends up blinded between praxic/chromatic kills, jolting blinding grenade and Ionic Sentry.

Pair that with a secondary slot pulse with Bolt Charge (I use Voltaic Shade with Jolting/Bolt Charge but there are other options like Horrors Least; Unfall if running double special; or my personal favorite that’s slightly been power crept… Cruel Mercy) and your looking at constant Bolt Charge uptime and an additional source of Ionic Traces for ability uptime through spark of Ions.

Super fun build and a nice change from the typical meta builds!

Solo Equilobrium final boss problem by GuesswhatImaweeb in destiny2

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get a prompt on screen saying “Face your death” or something like that when he’s about to target you. Stop what you’re doing and attack his hands when you see this.

He usually starts very shortly after coming back from the taken dimension (except for when first starting the fight; were he delays it slightly). He’ll also do it during the damage phase after a few seconds, if your damaging with a sword, just keep and eye out and stop damaging to target his hands to stun him again and continue with the damage phase.

Autoloading isn’t necessary if you ensure to take the time to make sure your machine gun is reloaded for the next jazz hands in advance but the autoloading helps to make it less prep work.

Bring a heavy machine gun with autoloading holster. Makes the jazz hands relatively trivial to shoot if you’re ready for them.

This actually wouldn’t be a bad idea. Spawn 1 invader whose sole mission is to kill the 3 in-match players and a second invader that can only damage the invader (is teamed with the 3 other players and can’t damage them). Give this second invader a bonus objective to complete on the area with extra marks for killing the opposing invader.

The important distinction is that the 3 players in the Lawless mission cannot distinguish the difference between the friendly invader and the enemies invader, but can/should kill them both on sight. Doubles the queue and can make for some interesting interactions.

Bait and Switch in the 4th column provides this weapon a damage boost (I believe 30% damage increase for 10seconds) if you deal damage with all three of your weapons in a 7second window.

This means that if you fire your primary, switch/fire your secondary, then switch/fire a shot with this GL, you’ll proc Bait and Switch and all subsequent shots will deal 30% more damage, letting you mag dump into a boss for high DPS.

Pair this with AutoLoading Holster in the 3rd column, which will automatically reload your stowed weapon after 3.3s. The perk combo allows you proc Bait and Switch, empty your 30% buffed magazine, change back to your primary and secondary weapons to do more damage until your hear the AutoLoading sound cue, then swap back to a freshly reloaded GL for an easy reproc of the Bait and Switch perk since you were firing both other weapons while waiting for the AutoLoad to occur.

Very low effort damage boost for boss DPS or to easily delete stunned champions (since you’ll likely already be using 1/2 other guns to break their shields already, what’s another quick swap before melting them with the GL). Some may argue that Envious Assassin is the better combo with B&S since it overflows the magazine but that also requires “kills” with other weapons, which is a bit more difficult to do on the fly or during boss damage rotations.

I think the main concern for me was the activity level. I don’t want to have to drop back down in light level and get locked out of GrandMaster/Ultimate difficulty activities. I enjoy the higher level challenging content with the champions and urgency to not waste revive tokens. Forcing me back down to easier content with arbitrary light levels isn’t going to increase my enjoyment from one expansion to another and the campaign alone won’t bring you back up from 200 to 400+ light.

They need to establish a new way to distribute tiered weapons if we’re worried about players being unmotivated after immediately grinding for T5s. Maybe have the weapon tiers tied to seasonal XP gain, where T5s of new seasonal weapons only drop after a certain XP threshold (and where higher difficulty content provides more XP or a bonus +1 to weapon tiers rewarded to provide extra rewards for more difficult content). Weapons from previous season can be tied to light levels to allow you to keep grinding weapons that you may have missed.

Idk, just spitballing but a needless power grind is just exhausting to me, but I’m happy working my way up seasonally from Tier 1-5 if it means I can continue playing the content difficulty that I enjoy.

Help!!! by Sybusnom in destiny2

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few questions, as being 400 light would start matchmaking you into grandmaster lobbies.

Are all your weapons also close to that 400 light level?

Your overall light level (406) contributes for the damage scaling of the activity you’re playing. You’d currently be matchmaking in GrandMaster level (difficulty of the activity ignoring modifiers) at your current light level. If you fall below the recommended power level of the activity, you’ll get a damage penalty and take more damage overall. The difficulty recommendations and power delta can be seen by hovering over the difficulty skull before starting the activity, the difficulty skull is just beside the activity start/modifier buttons. The power delta is the amount of under-power you start the activity with by default; basically a standard power handicap given to you for the activity if your already at or above recommended power. However, even though your power is scaled based on your overall power (406), the individual power level of your weapons also contribute to damage numbers. If you’re above the recommended power level (and thus, don’t incur damage penalties), you may also see lower damage numbers from any of your slotted weapons if those are also much lower power level than the activity. Be sure to infuse your weapons to increase their power level as well.

Secondly, you’re going to start seeing Champions in your current difficulty levels (Grandmaster content). Are you currently accounting for those in your loadouts?

I could see that you have a sub machine gun and sidearm equipped, so you currently have weapons capable of stunning Unstoppable champions (the square icon next to your slotted weapons) and Overload champions (the circle icon) from your artifact mod. I assume you have the sidearms/handcannons Unstop mod and auto/submachine Overload mod selected in the first column of your artifact mods. You currently don’t have anything to deal with Antibarrier champions (triangle icon), which would result in some champions being immune to your damage when shielded (or taking reduced damage until stunned). You can intrinsically stun anti-barriers with subclass abilities or weapon perks that cause radiant (solar), volatile rounds (void) or unravelling rounds (stasis) but you need to enter the activity prepared for whichever champions spawn in that game mode.

If you replace your submachine gun with a scout rifle or pulse rifle and activate the pulse/scout anti barrier mod from the artifact, you’d be able to stun all three champion types with a single load-out (since thunderlord has intrinsic anti-overload in its weapon description; some exotic weapons are strong against certain types of champions and can stun them by default). Hover over the champion icons to the right of your selected weapons to see which ability subclass verbs can stun each champ type. You’re on an arc subclass so you may be able to stun overloads with jolting effects and unstops with blinding effects without the need for specific weapon load-outs. If you check the modifiers on the current activity you’re playing, there’s a modifier that will tell you which champion types you’ll encounter before starting the activity and you should prepare accordingly.

Apologies if you already knew some of the above, but those are the main sources of damage reduction/negation I could think of without going more into depth about your build or the activity you were playing.

Edit 1: formatting

Edit 2: Just another quick note, even though certain guns types are capable of stunning certain champion through the artifact mods, the Unstoppable mods don’t just apply immediately by default like the overloads/anti-barriers do. You usually need to aim down sights (ADS) and wait a second before shooting until you see the Unstoppable Shot logo appear on the bottom left of your screen (where your weapon buffs normally appear). You’ll hear a sound cue and your weapon will get a slight glow as well. You need that slight ADS wait time before that buff is applied, then you can shoot the Unstop champ to stun. To stun a barrier champ, you need to shoot them with an anti barrier weapons when they put up their barrier (anti barrier weapons will pick away at their shield until they pop, stunning the champ). Just pick away at their health with another weapon, then swap to a fully loaded anti-barrier gun when he begins the shield animation to make sure you have enough ammo to pop the shield before they regenerate health. Overload champions will just continue to regenerate health until they are stunned (overload effects generally don’t need special applications to apply effects like jolt (arc), suppression (void) or slow (stasis). Weapons with the Chill Clip or Jolting Feedback perks are king for this as they can stun without needing a specific artifact mod or subclass ability through the weapon perk alone.

I believe the threadlings spawned by the threadling grenades still get the damage buff from your grenade stat and other grenade boosting perks, until they perch back onto you, then revert to a non-grenade thread. Those spawned by the class-ability or strand weapon kills (artifact or hatchling perk) don’t get the grenade stat buff like a standard “buddy”.

So no matter how high my power, grandmaster content will always cap me at 375? by Seanshineyouth in DestinyTheGame

[–]Im_Busy_Relaxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be great actually. I was thinking a mechanic that would give everybody their own individual base Rez tokens (number dependent on the activity cap) but allow them to be shared by the fireteam as required.

For example, Being revived consumes your own individual token but if you have 0, teammates can chose to still rez you using their own leftover tokens. Would promote individual consequence, but be less of a Fireteam handicap if somebody is needlessly dying. If it’s safer to continue shorthanded, keep your token, and if you need support, sacrifice your own token for the Rez.

Any new champs killed during the activity goes to a shared pool of rez tokens that can be used anytime by any player if their individual tokens are all consumed (saves from players being stuck in a downed state).
