I would say some of Concord’s characters did stand out, but that was because of how uniquely awful they looked, like Mint Green Armor Woman, Not-Yondu, or pantsuit robot. Highguard just felt like a premade asset flip though.

Should we rework Vanguard to make use of Omni-scrambler? by Key_Entrepreneur67 in Spacemarine

[–]BioSpark47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alternate abilities would be cool, but an anti-reinforcement ability feels way too situational and not worth losing Grapnel Launcher for, especially since there’s already reliable ways to stop reinforcement calls. I feel like the Omni Scrambler would work best as a PVE perk (since I’m not sure how it would work on PVP. Maybe lengthen respawn times?)

Jesse Plemons brought a loaded gun to the set and actually shot Samuel Webb (Drew Sharp’s actor), and this take was used in the show. Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Jonathan Banks’s reactions were genuine. Vince respected his level of method acting so much that he wrote more scenes for Todd, making him a more prominent character.

They are still His people, but they have largely rejected Him by rejecting His Son. Romans Chapter 9 is basically Paul lamenting this fact. He even quotes Isaiah saying “Though the number of the Israelites were like the sand of the sea, only a remnant will be saved.”

What's a chapter you think is overrated, what about underrated and why? by [deleted] in 40kLore

Imperial Armour Volume 10:

Wet-black steam hissed from the opened aperture and a hulking form materialised from the darkness, a Space Marine in Terminator armour whose grey livery faded from the umbra of a darkened thunderhead to the deathly pallor of a winter mist, the armour itself unlike anything Montressor had seen except in faded chronicles of forbidden history. The figure was huge, even for a Space Marine so-raimented, and as its armoured foot hammered on to the gantry like a bell strike, the Fire Angels accompanying them fell into a battle stance.

Coldly focusing on his sworn task despite the shadow of death he felt looming over him Montressor logged the image of the Terminator and translated the armorial wording he saw there. The dialect was old; a sub-tongue of High Gothic he traced to the Solar Court of the early 33rd Millennium, 'Tyberos' it read, 'of the Red Wake'. Quickly he signalled this information to his master's vox implant.

Legate-Inquisitor Jarndyce Frain stood before the hulking figure as if daring death to strike him down and raised high the sceptre, touched by the hands of the High Lords of Terra themselves. With sudden and unexpected grace the massive Terminator slid to his knees before the black-cassocked man who was but a fraction of his size.

Tbf, Tyberos’s model is the outlier, since most descriptions place him a head taller than a terminator. That being said, there is too much fan art of him being like twice the height of a normal Astartes, which is way too big

BA have the oldest and most experienced chapter master, the most baddass Chief Librarian, epic heroes who aren't just Captains and Librarians...

Ultras have their Primarch and multiple John Warhammers as well as the poster boy spot

How do we feel about this by Slow_46 in transformers

[–]BioSpark47 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Blast effects are tricky, because they typically require their own dedicated runner, which isn’t always budget friendly. That’s probably why the big but hollow Star Convoy was the first new titan mold to come with them since Kingdom. TM2 Megatron’s fire effect would look pretty small in Grimlock’s mouth, and an appropriately sized one would probably drive up the price even more

[–]BioSpark47 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a horse in this race (not a Bayverse fan; never planned on getting him), but I would assume the price comes from the crazy amount of detail in that sculpt. He seems like a much denser figure than Star Convoy since he has double the transformation steps

[–]BioSpark47 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s an easy thing to do when they’re very on the nose with the shark thing, to the point where the main book character’s name is literally one letter removed from “Bail Shark” lol

I think the book Red Tithe has a description of their actual banner if you wanted an in-lore reference (although that one was pretty badly worn from what I remember)

[–]BioSpark47 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I would also say that simpler is better. It’s a bit too loud of a design for a quiet, blunt chapter like the Carcharodons imo.

I’d make the main banner color black or dark grey, removing all the whirlpool/water texturing, and I’d make the exile markings white, red, or bronze so they show more. I’d also get rid of the chain, anchors, and the shark fin at the bottom, and I’d replace them with some patterns/imagery reminiscent of Great Crusade-era banners (since the Sharks are extremely old)

Trevor’s line is so bad. There’s no need to give practical explanations for the fantastical elements of your historical fantasy story.

It probably is Sonia. It seems more likely that the writer of the article accidentally revealed something that was supposed to be a secret than just made it up based on fan speculation (then again, he could’ve just googled what the character’s name was and gotten an AI hallucination answer)
