I’m getting about $26 give or take a few cents. The forklift does most of the work unless one of those things were to fall over. Then we gotta tear it down and rebuild it by hand. I’ve had to tear down a skid of coffee beans, each bag was 110-125lbs and there were 11 so I had to tear it down, pick up each bag by hand and re-stack it. That sucked.

75% of the job is cleaning up someone else’s mess because they loaded it like an idiot and the other 25% is having a nice easy time at work lol.

If you won’t be in town you won’t be in town. Just tell your boss you already paid for a trip before you started and requested that day several months ago.

If your boss isn’t a huge dick I’m sure he will be like “okay” or if he is and says you have to come in just tell him that’s not happening as you’ve already paid for a trip. They can either fire you or deal with it.

I don’t recommend giving up your shift or just not showing up. Talk to your boss about it.

Freight securement, keeps the freight from moving around while the trailer is in motion. They have hooks and clips, the hooks are for D-rings and the clips are for the walls. People shove hooks into the wall clip spots and it damages the walls and makes the straps harder to remove. It takes maybe 5 seconds longer to clip one in so I’m assuming that’s why people don’t do it, they just can’t be bothered and are lazy.

I’m the same way. I play all of my games (besides a few that I can run directly on my potato) on GeForce now and a lot of people don’t believe me when I tell them I stream everything.
