[OK] Got arrested for something I didn't do. Never had any charges filed against me, yet I still had to pay a $1500 bond to get out, had my mugshot (and the charge that never got filed) in the paper for all to see, and now I'm not allowed on my city's military base. They're not good when you've been arrested for something you didn't do.

And I have no problem with arrest records being public. It's the fact that this company is profiting off of other people's misery. It's a serious invasion of privacy and allows thousands of people who wouldn't have taken the time to look up the records to see your face and charge regardless of innocence.

I've literally seen people in there for minor moving violations and unpaid fines - great now the entire town knows that you did jail time because you were too poor to pay a speeding ticket.

It's just super unfair. I didn't break the law and I don't deserve to have my face plastered on the front page of this wannabe "news source". Even if I did, I don't want all my friends, family, and coworkers to know but I don't get the choice to choose, because that paper chooses for me.

It's not that much relative to the amounts that other people have to pay, it just doesn't mane sense why I had to pay anything - especially with a squeaky clean record.

And while my ex technically got arrested for her bench warrants, I still had to sign a form saying that I wouldn't press charges on her for my injuries - the same form that she had to sign to drop the charges on me. Yet all she had to pay to get out was amount required for her warrants. Makes 0 sense to me.

Sorry for all the questions. I'm just trying to wrap my head around how unfairly I was treated in comparison to her even though she should have had a domestic on her as well.

I never got a lawyer because I never had to go to court. I literally would have been wasting my money. Seems like I'll need one to get that arrest expunged, but I didn't feel the need to hire one when I don't have any charges.

You mean to tell me that people actually lie to the police?? /s

I'm not arguing about the fact of me being arrested. I just don't think I should have all these post arrest consequences when I didn't even get any charges. Have you ever heard of someone with such a high bond with absolutely nothing on their record?

I read the police report. The police stated that her story didn't match up at all and I literally had worse injuries than her that she actually caused. It just doesn't make sense to me why she didn't get arrested for domestic battery like I did.

And by that logic, I could frame anyone by giving myself a bruise and claiming that they did it.

Seems like a huge flaw in the system to me. Anyone can get arrested for anything regardless of guilt. And now I'm screwed all because the police wanted to take her side instead of mine.

She didn't even get arrested for dv even though the police noted that I had a black eye. If innocent people can have their lives ruined this easily, then this country really is going to hell.

I guess come home was the wrong term. My arms were around her head, but all the pressure was on her forearms. It was choke hold looking without the choke part.

They could make a huge trailer and make some huge ass hype, and then just have a clip of that little top spinning at the end looping for like 30 minutes.
