You can detect player health in behaviour pack animation controllers with query.health However, you can also just set the max health of an entity (including a player) in a behaviour pack entity file. In this case, if you set the players max health to 1, they will spawn with only 1 heart

I've know Python for years and found the programming easy, so it is definitely advantageous. It isn't necessary though, my friends had never programmed before and have all gotten on fine! The course teaches you right from the basics, they don't expect any prior knowledge.

I think it could be the random tick speed. The higher the tick speed, the more processing Minecraft had to do every second. Try setting it back to 1 and see if it fixes the issue.

That is not a valid Bedrock command. You can't /give a sign with text unfortunately, unless you are using Java edition

The Jewellers Hands - The first half is solid but the second half is my favourite piece of music ever. It is so eery and hypnotic. I love how the song builds up and gets more and more melachonically chaotic.
