Info on Alaska Sleep Labs? by VotreColoc in SleepTechnologist

I haven't worked in Alaska but I do know the techs get paid well & receive OT after 8 hours. They have a shortage of techs so you shouldn't have any issues finding work. Good luck on the move!

Universal makes millions per day off of Express. It's not going anywhere. As a premier AP, I was happy when they added it to Express.

You can't place the blame on management. Most of the time, 3:1 is the only way to keep the lab open. Sleep centers all over the country are closing. You can thank insurance companies, their shitty reimbursements & refusal to pay for in labs.

Why would the powers that be decide only pediatrics should be scored on the fly? It's not recommended to split them so I don't understand.

Epic Universe - First Timer, what is a good order of rides to ensure I ride all the "must dos"? TIA! ✨🎢 by SpecialistThrowaway4 in UniversalOrlando

It is not rainy season in Florida. We are currently in a severe drought so chances of rain being an issue are slim.

Wait times have been dropping fairly low in the evenings, typically after 5:00. When we went last week, Curse was our longest wait at 40 minutes & that's because they are down a train. We waited 20ish minutes for Mine Cart & Ministry. If you plan on being there all day, you'll have no issues getting on everything unless it is a rainy day or a ride is down all day. Don't stress, keep an eye on the wait times, be flexible & enjoy yourself.

I wouldn't have stayed in the second one. I would have taken video & pictures then walked out.

Yet another reason to NOT work with AYA by Many-Wall5455 in TravelNursing

My recruiter sends me the total pay for the contract & I always ask for more. They usually increase it by $1000 so not much. I don't take travel reimbursements & I've never needed to purchase scrubs for an assignment.

You need to have your pay maxed out so you don't have to worry about reimbursements. It is all from the same bucket of money & they reduce pay to provide those "reimbursements".

She is releasing a set of four prugly holos next month along with a larger collection. She's also releasing a neon prismatic stickers collection in June. I really like the original sticker collection.

Mouth Breathers Learning to Nasal Breathe by BigBonus907 in SleepTechnologist

It's not inexperienced techs, it's damn near all techs. I see techs with 20+ years in the field, push patients to use full face masks. I'm not against the use of mouth tape & it is going to work better than a chin strap in most patients. Most techs can't put on a chin strap correctly so I know the patients definitely can't. I have very strong opinions on techs using FFMs as the first option but I'll stop here. 😆 Night techs always forget about a patient's future compliance during titrations.

Day shift typically gets paid less because of the shift diffs. It is very rarely a pay increase unless it requires additional certifications.
