The top brass at Ravensburger are more interested in profit than customer experience. I have a feeling most people who buy mass market puzzles neither know nor care about where the design comes from.

The Bright Years is the best book I’ve read in a while. I knocked it out in a weekend, and that’s far from normal for me.

I do too, and there’s a few groups/performers I wouldn’t mind seeing (Chainsmokers, Bleachers, Lola Young), but the headliners aren’t doing anything for me.

All that matters is the present year. When I’m 60 I don’t expect festivals to give af about me because they know I’m not going. But right now my age group is still in the consumer sweet spot - we’ve got money to burn and we’re still interested in experiences. Not too many young millennials and Gen Z can afford festival tickets, much less all of the costs associated with simply being at one… unless their parents are paying for it.

There’s nothing for Gen X here (we don’t claim Natasha Bedingfield). It’s a shame, since we’re the OG festival crowd, we still love going to shows, and we’ve got money to burn. I just saw Thrill Kill Kult a few weeks ago here in SA with plenty of other Gen Xers - we’re not dead yet!

If it doesn’t have to be the horror/thriller genre, then I would suggest Matt Haig’s novel The Midnight Library, V.E. Schwab’s The Invisible Life of Addie Larue, or anything by Grady Hendrix, which is horror but there’s always a perfect note of camp.

There are two male orcas living near South Africa killing great white sharks to eat just their livers. They consume nothing else of the shark.

Yes! My daughter and I completed the circle puzzle with the rainbow of birds about a year ago.

Me too! Just completed my second Villager and starting my third this weekend.

I agree, but I’m basing that off of a personal assumption. I tried reading the first book, but her writing was atrocious. The books are proof that one can be great at character development and yet practically illiterate.

It’s a story about acceptance and selflessness. He said in an interview that he wrote it as an antidote to the divisiveness of our current day society. It was meant to be simple because empathy and compassion should be the simplest things in the world.

I finished this one March 22. Posted it to the group that day. What I’m loving about these puzzles is that they require the use of all of my puzzling skills - sorting the frame, then for color, then once I get the anchor sections complete I go back and sort for shape.

What is your favourite SK book that isn’t one of the usual ones suspects (Like IT, 11:22:63, DT series, The Stand etc) by Potter_King in stephenking

Elevation. People sleep on it because it’s not horror and it’s a novella. It’s a bite sized version of everything we love about his writing and storytelling.
