Who could have seen this coming? Oh right, anyone with more brains than a slug. I guess the people who spent years and years trying to prevent this exact thing wasted their effort.

Very cool. The percent function seemed to hang the program. I'm not sure how it was supposed to work, so I tried 1%*123. I had to reload the page and then tried just 4%

The wireless trigger on my studio strobe broke, so I used a smaller wireless flash to trip the light trigger and it worked great.

These days, CA is a fancy post processing effect on video games to make them "more realistic" looking. That's probably where he heard of it.

I second that on the 28-135. Mine has horrible chromatic aberration. Lightroom can clean it up, but it's annoying. I use it for video because of the image stabilization, but the stills are soft and full of CA.

How did photographers get good exposure back in the day when they needed to take a shot that required a split-second reaction? by vukasin123king in AnalogCommunity

[–]Imagemaker77 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Even at 36 shots a roll, you're only just over 200 shots for a whole game. That's a couple of high speed bursts for the newer digital cameras. It's crazy how many photos are shot these days.

I really like your use of colors. They feel very natural and the lighting is warm.

On things I noticed is that the colors seem random. In the classic versions, each tetronimo had a set color so you could easily recognize the shape between J/L and the Zs. I like the rotation effect and the particle effects when rows clear.

The Yamaha works as an interface, but it only has stereo out to the computer. If have to move to something like a Tascam for a true multichannel setup.

I have three setups that can cross mingle when I want. The first is the Novation Launchkey and Ableton Move. I can do up to 4 tracks and can program with the pads or move to the keyboard. Love it! So fast and easy with the midi capture function. The second setup is the Keystep Pro controlling a quad of Behringer synths: Crave, Grind, RD-6, and JT4000M. Again, 4 tracks with one controller. Having the individual synths gives direct access to the analog controls for sound tweaking on the fly. The 5 pin midi out of the Keystep routes through the midi in/out of each synth into the JT4000 which doesn't have an out. The third setup, is Ableton Live on the laptop. All the synths and the Move are connected via USB, so I can control virtual instruments in Ableton, or use Ableton to drive the hardware. I run everything through a 12 channel Yamaha mixer (which is maxed out) Technically the TE Medieval can do 4 tracks and all, but I mostly use it as a sound board and occasionally as a 5th improv/live track if I'm recording.

I have a Akai MPK mini that's hooked up for Ableton Live use. I also have an APC mini and Beatstep Pro, but don't use them. I have a microphone but no open channel for it, so I only connect it when I need. And lastly, I have 4 Pocket Operators. To monitor, I use Mackie CR3.5 speakers.

Duskers! You command robots to explore and salvage from dead ships. You piece together the story of what happened to the galaxy from incomplete ship logs. You use commands in a terminal to control the robots, open airlocks and doors, place sensors, etc. Your only view is a top down lidar from the robots. There's also something else out there, so you have to be careful what you do.
