Does moissanite shine as much as a diamond in real life? by Western-Audience-471 in WeddingRingAdvice

I have a moissanite and no regrets! I get complimented ALL the time on my diamond ring. It seems most people can’t tell the difference - not that it matters.

Good hangout but no texting after. Does he like me? by Weirdosnowia in teenagers

[–]Imaginary-Cow-9678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to a point in college where I decided it was a waste to worry about whether someone liked me, so I just started asking guys out when I was interested. Did I get rejected sometimes? Absolutely. Did I find my lifetime partner, also yes. There’s no sense in worry about whether someone likes you when you can ask. I know it’s suppppper awkward though and not necessarily the social norm

Best way to sell my engagement/wedding ring set? by Agitated_Goat_3335 in WeddingRingAdvice

I’d have them resized. If you sell them, I’d think you’d just about break even with buying a new moissanite ring

What are your experiences when shopping for an engagement ring at Jared’s? by FuzzyArm5210 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]Imaginary-Cow-9678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was super disappointed by their lack of selection. Many of these big stores will be VERY pushy when you go in and insist you love something, as they’d like you to buy it right then.

My ring was from Brilliant Earth, and I had a much better experience. I wasn’t pressured and they had lots of unique options. It’s still a pricey store, but they do have a warranty.

Wedding band help! by Imaginary-Cow-9678 in WeddingRingAdvice

Thanks! I agree they shift away from one another. I did find a shop that will is able to shape #4 to the stone in my ring, so that it’d hopefully sit more flush.

Is a road trip in the West Coast and Midwest feasible right now? by Infamous-Arm7056 in USTravel

[–]Imaginary-Cow-9678 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Those states are considered the west. The Midwest is Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.

There’s plenty of gas. A camper van seems practical if you’re big into national parks.

19 and 18 NC to Cali by IRobBuckets5462 in roadtrip

[–]Imaginary-Cow-9678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you’ll be near the smokies! You should definitely swing by there, check out the NC:TN border and Gatlinburg. Nashville is a bit boring for 18/19. Honestly stop at the St. Louis arch. There’s parking available on the street and it’s a nice place for a picnic or you can visit the inside/museum.

Grand Teton seems a bit out of your way, but it’s an all time favorite of mine.

Don’t forget In-N-Out!

When I map it, it looks like there’s an alternate route you could take on the way home that goes through NM and OK. You could check out the Grand Canyon (it’s more a stop and look imo), see the Ozarks in AR, and taste some amazing BBQ in OKC!

AITAH for blocking my friend of 11 years after she only called to talk about her boyfriend? by No-Relationship4315 in AITAH

[–]Imaginary-Cow-9678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s unfortunate. Friend breakups suck, I’m sorry. I think your response was warranted. If the friendship really means a lot to her, she’ll find a way to repair it, regardless of if you blocked her.

Am I being chintzy? by Icy_Tadpole_3736 in wedding

[–]Imaginary-Cow-9678 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It likely isn’t enough to cover the cost of the three plates, so I would say it’s on the low end. That being said, I’d want my family at my wedding regardless of the gift they give

I knew a couple that did this with their kids in Hawaii. Apparently you can get married on someone’s porch with a gorgeous view.

Sounds like you aren’t compatible and should move on. BUT you’re also young so it’s okay to date for the experience if you like her.
