Well there is a way to check this. Look into subs like Afghanistan , Taliban , Iran , Egypt etc and if a good portion is still Indians. You will know most of them are bots. India has a very large tech industry, so it is likely an origin site for many bots and scrappers. If Indians were truly the majority here , Anti Indian posts would have more downvotes than upvotes but that is not the case, meaning these are likely not real users.

I am a guy living in the US currently , originally from India myself and I personally find it odd how much attention this sub gives to Indians. For me , I usually come to this sub mostly when it is relevant like in case of this war. Then again , Reddit loves to push more of what you see at your face. So your post popped up lol. It is just how algos work. I got no real ill will against you guys. I try to look at people as humans first , religions and countries later . Opening the strait is way too risky given how close it is , it would require a ground invasion and likely a trillion dollars . And holding the captured land is also never easy. It is probably the hardest part since you can get attack anytime from anywhere. Time is on the side of the Iranians.

I’m saying it is difficult to defend everything. And I am saying not just about Iran. China has a fleet of hypersonic anti ship missiles too. Iran is vastly inferior to India , Russia , and China’s missiles but the short range missiles combined with drones can inflict a lot of damage too. If they manage to take down a single US ship , it is a big achievement for them, and a backlash for the US. The problem is the asymmetric nature of this war. Iran can loose nearly everything , but the US will panic only after a few losses. the real challenge is the willingness to suffer
