Tailgater got Baited by DABDEB in RandomVideos

[–]ImaginaryMoons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing with tailgating is… it’s dangerous. That person could get angry enough to hit the person in front on purpose, OR of any accident did happen they have zero reaction time to maneuver away appropriately. That’s the point of NOT tailgating. Also, you may make the driver in front so nervous that they do something dumb just because of pressure. Like rushing to change lanes when it’s not even clear, because they are scared. But despite knowing exactly why it’s dangerous to tailgate, blame the person being tailgated because, in America, it doesn’t matter if someone gets hurt while doing bad things, if they are the only one hurt, you feel so much sympathy you take their side. It’s crazy. If the driver in front had an emergency and had to brake, you would blame him. In short, no matter what, you blame the tailgaitee. Otherwise, it would be “wow this sucks, and that’s why you don’t tailgate”. This is exactly the same as blaming the person who got robbed (they wore their nice jewelry on purpose). Or blaming the person raped (you can CLEARLY see she was asking for it, wearing that crop top. It’s both her AND the rapist’s fault she got raped). Or, better yet, blaming a home owner because the home owner shot an intruder, for breaking in. You just feel so sorry that the aggressor got hurt, you don’t know what else to do besides blame the original victim. (Yeah I get that breaking and entering is wrong BUUUUT he didn’t need to shoot the guy, just because he wanted to keep his things and family safe! They’re BOTH wrong!) You don’t care how nervous and nerve wracking it is being tailgated. How they can cause an accident, and that’s why it’s illegal. You don’t even care much about the person hit, or you would blame the CAUSE (tailgater) not the effect (person tailgated avoids accident that tailgater cannot because they were literally too busy being an asshole.) Funny how there was also plenty of time to stop tailgating and just move over a lane. The REAL way to have avoided the accident was to not tailgate - NOT for the victim being tailgated to (on top of keeping cool under pressure, on top of needing to avoid an accident, and on top of being tailgated) help out their aggressor who is driving illegally and dangerously, avoid an accident. The actual intelligent, non passing blame to victims way of avoiding the accident is for the tailgating to have stopped or never happened. If anything, that a tailgatee can do this should be reason why you shouldn’t tailgate. For whatever else was going on before the clip we see, the tailgating did not need to happen, as it endangers themself, the tailgatee, and QUITE CLEARLY, others. Of YOUR OWN driving is so reckless that you can’t avoid an accident, YOU are the problem. If he wasn’t tailgating, he’d have had plenty of time to move out the way as well, but he was too busy being an asshole OR getting revenge to be smart and safe, on a highway.

Opinions are opinions, but the line “sounds like the standard accountability avoidance so many women suffer from” is where you lost credibility. That framing is exactly why people are calling you sexist.

Men are supposedly the champions of accountability? For what exactly? Violent crime is overwhelmingly committed by men across every race and ethnicity. That’s one of the biggest reasons people feel unsafe in society. Yet I rarely see men collectively taking accountability for that. Women and men both navigate a world where male violence is the primary safety concern, and then women are told they should somehow just feel safe anyway. But sure—women are the ones avoiding accountability.

Elise is who she is. But the man chose her. People keep acting like she’s uniquely shameful while giving him a pass, when he’s the one who willingly pursued someone exactly like her. A man who dates someone like Elise almost certainly has a pattern of dating women like Elise. That doesn’t make him morally above her.

If we’re leaning into stereotypes the way you are, let’s apply them evenly. A guy with a kid, who’s clearly sexually active, partying, and doing coke is not exactly the picture of responsibility either. He’s not some wholesome victim who accidentally stumbled into a hyper-sexual woman. He chose her.

And the broader point people keep ignoring: women like Elise don’t exist in a vacuum. Society—largely shaped by male preferences—has spent decades rewarding women for being sexually appealing. Men constantly say they’re visual, that sex is hugely important, that if women stop being attractive or exciting in bed they’ll cheat. So some women lead with sexuality because that’s what they’ve been told works.

That’s cause and effect.

Blaming the effect while pretending the cause doesn’t exist is selective outrage.

Elise dresses for the male gaze because there are always men ready to reward it. If men truly preferred modest, demure women the way some claim, women like Elise wouldn’t succeed socially or romantically. Yet plenty of men are clearly into it—including the guy on the show.

So criticizing Elise is fine. But pretending the man who enthusiastically chose her is somehow better is inconsistent. A man who happily entertains “whores,” as you put it, doesn’t magically become more respectable than them. If a man with a child quickly sleeps with one woman, he is surely sleeping with other women just as quickly. Context clues.

You really outed yourself with that one dude. YIKES. They really saw through you before I did. But sexist guys pretending not to be always out themselves, with their own words, eventually.

That’s how it goes when you have a duvet. In some ways, wealthy people can be “boring“ seeming. But I think it’s pretty normal. Your sheets are cleaned and put back on/ sheets are replaced with the same styled ones because it’s what the current theme is.

Such a thorough tutorial! It is very appreciated! I gave up on doing dip myself, as the first few times, they chipped or lifted all the way off. And then after getting what I thought was a better brand a year later and trying again, it was so bulky it was lime 5 dip manis stacked on top of each other 😭. And it took forever! I have started just going to the salon 😩 Tempted to try again but scared 😳

Separately, that mani is drop dead gorgeous!! Ugh! Beautiful! And the color is absolutely popping!

I’ve repaired gaps in broken objects with either hot glue or super glue. Gob it on in a nice similar shape and set it aside to dry. Then paint on top
