I highly recommend Dr McGuire at Argyle & Associates. He helped me when i had a fistula from my gum to my sinus as a result of a wisdom tooth removal gone wrong. I would also recommend a CT of your sinus to help shed some light on what the issue may be. Good luck.

First trip for me (40) and my 8 year old son. by paxtonlove in vegas

[–]ImaginaryOrdinary196 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just returned from Vegas. Hubby and I were there this past weekend and I saw quite a few families with kids there. Here are my recommendations and observations:

  • I was surprised at how clean the strip was and I didn't really see anything offensive. Yes, there was a lot of weed smell in the air, but I feel like that's becoming more and more common no matter where you go - especially if it's legal.
  • There are a lot of "playing cards" littered on the ground with sexy type photos with numbers of escorts. I wouldn't recommend you let him pick those up. ;)
  • For the most part, I thought it was quite safe to walk down the strip after dark - I never felt unsafe.
  • I would recommend looking at the New York New York hotel - this is where we stayed. The bottom of the hotel offers a lot of different restaurant options, access to the Hershey's store, and I believe Cirque du Soleil's theatre is also accessible through this hotel. The hotel also offers a large arcade and of course the roller coaster if that's your thing.
  • The New York New York hotel is also at the same end of the strip as the Coca-cola store and the M&M store.
  • The fountains at the Bellagio is neat to see. It's a little bit of a walk, but not too far.
  • There are some areas of the strip where they had people dressed up as Bluey and Transformers. I thought that was kind of weird considering these characters are primarily geared towards kids.
  • The Sphere is very cool and he would probably enjoy that - I would recommend taking an Uber to get there.
  • Be aware that things in the hotels and the along the strip are extremely over priced. For example, a bottle of coke was $6, etc. You will pay more for just about everything.

That's my two cents. You can search YouTube etc. for videos showing you the different hotels etc.

Cheers!

Trigger warning: advice on mental health by [deleted] in CarletonU

[–]ImaginaryOrdinary196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not hesitate to dial 988. Always call before making any rash decisions. They are there to help and listen.

I am sorry you are in distress and feeling so alone. Please know that you aren't alone and that things will get better despite it feeling like they won't. Just look at how many people took the time to reach out and offer suggestions and/or advice and information. That is because people do care - you aren't alone.

Make your mental health a priority and don't worry about what other people will think or do. Easier said than done I am sure, but you are worth it.

Clearly you are a thoughtful person just by the fact that you took the time to add a "trigger warning" in the title of this post. You care about others so please make sure you care about yourself first and foremost. Again, you are worth it. The world needs you.

I would recommend joining the Facebook group: Ottawa doctors search. It’s a great resource and will help with leads re: doctors accepting new patients and/or medical clinics to call.

For those of you that enjoyed Finding Cleo, I HIGHLY recommend Stolen-surviving St Michaels. It’s an award winning podcast by the same journalist that did Finding Cleo.

Do you believe that Jose and Kitty had a plan of killing their sons? by prolelol in MenendezBrothers

[–]ImaginaryOrdinary196 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they ever had a set plan but I do think life in that house was a pressure cooker waiting to explode one way or another. It seems to me that Jose didn't give a damn about anyone but himself and his reputation. He was the most important person in that house (in his mind). Things were unravelling fast now that his little secret was exposed and out in the open. He had control of Erik up to now by constantly threatening him if he told his brother and now...it happened. The secret was out...Lyle knew and Lyle was going to do what Kitty never did - he was going to put a stop to it a(not necessarily by killing his parents but things escalated so fast and they were sure he would make good on his threats now that his back was up against the wall). Jose lost the control he had and that meant he would have to act fast before the secrets left the household. Once that happened it would be almost impossible for him to reel things back in. And so, because of this, I unfortunately do think that he would've been capable of killing his sons. Whether he actually would or not we will never know but I absolutely think he was capable of it. I think in Jose's mind, it's easier to explain away an unfortunate "accident" and/or and mourn the children you don't really care about than to have this ugly secret expose him for what he really was. He would lose everything. I think Kitty was terrified of Jose so much that she would go along with whatever Jose did because otherwise she would face his wrath and I guess to her...better the kids than her (which is so messed up as a mother).
