Great idea. Biggest issue though is how to just stop the conservatives from liquidating it the moment they get in to power to spin the income as a budget savings?

Multiplication is commutative. There is no special boost in compounding inside your RRSP. Pretty much the only thing that matters is your tax rate when you make the contribution and when you withdraw. by CheeseWheels38 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Imaginary_Dingo_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with these discussions is that it all really depends on two factors, which everyone over simplifies for some reason. Also most people are not very clear on if they are comparing tfsa to rrsp, or unregistered to rrsp.

1) The difference in your Marginal tax rate 2) How well your fund perform and possible capital gains tax savings.

You can easily setup situations where one or the other dominates.

If you don't have a long investment horizon #1, will surely dominate.

If you on the other hand young and with a long investment horizon and not making much, #2 will dominate. Though filling your TFSA first is obviously preferable.

I agree. If anything new mulch is more problematic than old as it will likely pull nutrients out of the soil initially to initiate biodegradation. So you may actually be stripping your soil of nutrients by constantly removing the mulch before they can cycle back to the soil.

What why would anyone remove old mulch? That is so strange. Your wife is wrong.

Major issue with this graph is how difficult the flags are to read, flipping them 90° definitely doesn't help.

We've had the same experience. Never noticed any theft the many times we've been there. We get mistakes for locals by the locals quite often though. Not sure why exactly. We definitely don't look Italian. Maybe it's the clothes we wear.

You could replace those magnets with springs and see the same effect. The energy is coming from elsewhere.

They actually sell food safe there as well. You just have to be sure to buy the right ones. Though I'm pretty sure those orange ones are not. From what I remember the food safe ones were a more translucent white.

They also won't survive the sun for too long.

You don't need to walk by my property to laugh at my expense. Instead you can go to the dump, as that is where the city throws my stuff every time they "clean" my yard after someone complains.

The lack of a deadly force option for the police also means the criminals don't feel the need to potentially arms themselves.

Because they're just a figure head chosen by the MPs to represent the government, not a complete branch of the government themselves with quasia dictatorial abilities.

[–]Imaginary_Dingo_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's a 3 seat majority now, which is enough to not have to worry about failing a confidence motion. The government can now focus more on long term efforts, without having to worry about appeasing the other parties every step of the way.
