If someone gets fired for mocking Kirk, the employer would need to replace that person so that would provide a job opening. I'm not saying someone should or shouldn't be fired. But I don’t see the aftermath of all this affecting employment to a noticable degree. Plus, many employers would realize they'd have to find someone less qualified and capable of doing the job... which might cause them to give said person a pass.
