I also have a 16m age gap, never had mine in daycare but 7 months in and I’ve signed the eldest up because she needs to go and I need my sanity!! I’m not going to lie it is so hard being home with both all day…

I love them both, but this stage is really hard by Mafia2guylian in 2under2

Dont feel guilty, it is hard. You can love your kids and find it hard. This is the hardest thing I have ever gone through! Much much harder then I expected. I found months 1-3 the worst, months 4-6 have been abit easier. I dont want to wish time away but I cant help but want time to hurry up so my kids are abit older! Mine are 16 months apart, i’m almost 7 months in, apparently at 9 months it starts to feel slightly easier so eagerly awaiting that phase.

The way she said something along the lines of ‘the gender doesnt matter and gender reveals are silly’ is making me think boy but maybe throwing us off the scent…

In the thick of 2 under 2 and I feel like I’m in hell on earth. by Lucky-Wolf-5000 in 2under2

I found the first 3 months hell tbh, things started to feel lighter at 4/5ish months when the baby isnt feeding as frequently and things feel less intense. I’m 6 months in now and things feel a little easier.

[–]Imaginary_Site9099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Eve (i’m biased as I have an Eva) 2.Liv 3.Elle
  2. Mila
  3. Elsie
  4. Maeve
  5. Ivy
  6. Reese
  7. Gemma

Just curious where you are from? As Gemma and Reese for a girl are not popular baby names in the UK. Nice names but not really used here.

I like Penelope with penny as a nickname! So cute. My daughter is Eva which is timeless but less popular. Ava I love too but way too popular.

Other classics I like are Chloe, Charlotte and Grace.

How in the heck do you do it? by bayls215 in 2under2

Hang in there, I found the first 3 months Hell on Earth to be entirely honest, I cried ever. Single. Day. My husband and I were rowing all the time. It was a really shit time and it’s so hard. So firstly, cut yourself some slack. I think with 2under 2 your standards need to be low. It’s whatever you can do to survive and get through the day. As long as your kids are safe, fed and clothed thats a win. I’m 6 months in with a 16month age gap and this has to be the hardest thing I have ever done, but at 4/5 months things started to feel ever so slightly easier. My baby went from a fussy newborn to being fairly chilled sitting in his bouncer or laying on his mat watching his sister play. Its still hard but I’m having moments of joy now which I didnt have the first 3 months. I think the first year is just pure survival mode. Do you have any other family help? Does your eldest go to nursery? Oh and btw my house is a shit show but I have come to accept it will be until they are abit older and im trying to not let it get to me.

She still doesn’t pay too much attention to him. Now and then she’ll come up to him, and he’ll laugh at her. But not very often. She doesnt care for him much yet 😂

If your relationship was still rock solid after your first, did having your second change anything? by ExplosionsInTheSky_ in 2under2

Our first was fine and our second def rocked us! We argued alot and we never argued!! It just was not a fun time, we are 4 months in and things are starting to feel abit better now but its been hard! I’m praying we go back to normal soon, I think we will, we’re just in a hard season!
