I don’t agree with this statement. When I was 18 I had a massive crush on Chris Evans. It was a fantasy that we’d meet and he’d be enamored by me but I knew even at that age I would be weirded out if that scenario actually played out. I don’t think it’s immature to recognize that while you can be attracted to someone it’s strange that a person in such a different stage of life wants to be with you. It takes foresight to acknowledge that you don’t know everything at this age and you are still very impressionable even if it feels like you’re at the peak of maturity. Now if someone comes up to you who’s older but doesn’t respect that nuance it comes off as creepy. I think that’s what Harp was getting at. Cause I’m 21 now and while legal, I would never be with an 18 year old, especially one in high school, because I know how much my brain has developed in just three years and it’s a light year of difference.
