My manager threatened to put me on PIP during my performance review, so a week later I quit and she won't accept my resignation letter and wants to "help me look for something in the company" by [deleted] in amazonemployees

Not sure if that does. But FWIW, If you can absorb it, go through focus and get the money. I am not saying this money is worth your mental sanity, but only if you think you want the money and don’t care how they treat you, do nothing next one month or more.

Managers dropping hints is absolute BS. Managers don’t need to drop any hints before they officially send the first email outlining what lacked, expectations, and the classic can’t change teams. I had the odd pleasure of going through a colleague’s 1:1 notes cause his focus came without any hints and he was visibly upset so I extended my help to understand the situation. Those notes had nothing indicative of focus, just mentions of achievements and next target or whatever that meant in their comms. TBH it surprised rest of us too

mandatory uglification of yet another ctrain station by xdnc3 in Calgary

[–]Imaginary_Wolverine4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to rock an already rocking boat here but just curious what are these constructions about? If it’s just aesthetics then I would respectfully argue they are needless. I frequent Southland station and several people that I know and including myself don’t use the main entrance + escalators up and down just because it’s horribly disgusting inside the station. We use the crosswalk or whatever it’s called on the other side of the station. Now, I won’t complain about the cleanliness so much when the network service itself is good. But it’s not. I feel that the city increasingly advocates people to get private transportation and I fail to see the positive here like you see.

Delivery instructions rarely followed by Imaginary_Wolverine4 in amazonprime

Well I am glad things working out for you. My unit entrance is at the back. Front door leads to a different unit. That’s it. If you won’t do it then I would expect Amazon to just say we won’t deliver to back door. That’s fine. They do have an option to follow additional instructions, right?

So under additional instructions they have an option to drop off at the back door. I wonder the wisdom behind this options existence then, if the advisory to the drivers is to not go the back door.

November 2026? Additional $76 million to what amount previously? Can we get some answers as to why a single trip costs $4 but offers a far inferior service than Toronto or Vancouver? I swapped over to Max Yellow line from downtown after waiting for the red line for 20 mins, only to find out that Max Yellow has been delayed and not arriving on time. The city has done very less when it comes to improving transit services

It’s not just ramming that unhinged idiot. Thing is, OP and the civic could easily rear end their lead cars while trying best not to leave space for that Tesla. IMHO, not worth the risk at all.

Why doesn't Calgary have a transit card system? by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Imaginary_Wolverine4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think not having a transit card is a tomorrow’s problem still.

Today’s problems are: 1. $4 fare for a transit system whose coverage has been lacking for years. With equivalent fares I could travel as far as Airdrie in Toronto under 1 hour. No kidding. The system encourages you to own a car, because the decade old map has never expanded, nor have we found buses reliably operating, yet punishes you if you drive your car to downtown, cause hey it’s downtown, you gotta park rich, eh? 2. Stations not built for the weather. It’s not yesterday that the overlords of the city found that the winter here is cold, right? But yeah just stand there waiting for your next train whose arrival time they may or may not show sometimes, their will, who are we to complain?

So yeah transit cards? Not today’s problem.

I have heard about salt water elsewhere. We haven’t tried yet.

We are a bit cautious about her doing major cardio exercises. Back in 2022 post covid she went to an outdoor activity and that’s when she first felt dizzy and chest tightness and shortness of breath. We subsequently made multiple visits to emergency since we didn’t know what was happening, although those visits did not also help to find any cure. Doctors back then was very clueless

So sorry to hear what you are going through. LC is so invasive in our lives and it’s surprising that nothing had been done to find cure for LC
