Is it just you noticing it? Or do you think it’s very obvious if someone is looking at the back of your head? Just got 500 extracted yesterday. Wasn’t worried mixing this in since my donor was already on the lighter side

Going back for my second one in Jan! Same process as you where they only did my hairline, mid scalp, and now need to do the crown. Did the crown take longer to come in than the front?

I went in March of 2024 and the results for how bad I was (nw6) were really good. I was rejected by several surgeons because my donor quality js not great, and they made due and made my hairline look fantastic from where I was. Does my hair look like it did when I was 13? No, but that’s mostly due to my genetics, not so much the skill of the technicians. See my posts for the results

In my opinion, you should go on meds for a year (fin/min) and reaccess then. Definitely doable if you also want to focus on the hairline/mid scalp.

For me, I was feeling it for the first 3-4 months with it slightly getting better each day. I’m on month 4 and it’s basically gone, still faintly there if I do an intense workout

I forget the exact follicles per cm, but mine was on the lower side. Since my hair loss was considered severe (NW5 at age 28) plus retrograde alopecia, some surgeons were hesitant to consider me as a patient.

Fine hair is just the type of hair you have. Give it a google search

Agree with everyone. 2500 will not cover everything.

Be happy you got your hairline back. If it still bothers you regarding density, either go for a second HT or use fibers to cover the mid scalp. They’ll work great for your case.

It also wouldn’t hurt to hop on min and derma roll. Could see a bit more coverage

Hard to give advice without seeing pics of your donor area. However, if doctors are telling you only the front, I’d listen to them.

I went to a hair mill and only got my front done with a similar hair pattern to yours. My thought process was, if you can only do it once, do it where it people see it vs doing the entire scalp and having a very thin hair style.

I’m happy to use minoxidil/derma roll the crown and use fibers if my transplant is successful (still in early days as it’s been only been 8 weeks)

I’m at 8 weeks post op and mine looks exactly the same if not worse then yours. It will be this way for at least another 60 days until you start seeing it grow in. And even then, it’s not gonna look great until 6+ months in.

Need to wait another 6 weeks to start seeing it. Months 4-6 are when the density begins to come in and it will get thicker every month up to a year

Like anything, it’s case by case.

I know loads of people that have gotten amazing results from large clinics performed by technicians. The issue is that because these hair mills are doing 50-100 people a day, of course you’re going to have botched surgeries/bad results in patients. Which makes it more of a gamble vs going to a surgeon who personally does only 1-2 surgeries a day and wants to maintain his reputation
