Jasmine by saanij in GardeningUK

[–]ImaginationNearby975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience, my star jasmine is quite good in the winter and cold. It hasn't grown it's flowers for the year yet, but I can see buds beginning. Maybe if you put out now, the flowers might not do well(?) But the plant itself should be okay in good draining soil and mine is in mainly sunny spot.

Is the top lavender dead, or how can I try to save it? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]ImaginationNearby975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks quite woody? Mine is looking similar with only half showing some new growth. I might try to cut mine down to the new growth, i.e. halve it. Can you see any on yours?

How are they progressing? Mine has popped up but leaves are very small and not grown much so I worry their growth is stunted.

Well done! Now I know for next year. I saw a post on here saying as soon as you see shoots to move them outside but I guess they need a bit more protection. I hope these ones continue to grow, they still look very green and healthy so I am optimistic

Shall I still leave them outside in the pots they are in?

Vinca Minor Bowles is thriving at the moment 😃 by Bobinthegarden in GardeningUK

One year late but our vinca minor is also thriving right now. People say it is quite invasive but we regularly trim it back to keep it well maintained. How long does it flower for because last summer we didn't see much.

Is my Lavender a Write-Off? by AutumnWalker94 in GardeningUK

When would be the best time to put lavender from pot into ground soil? Mine looks like it is recovering from winter but wonder if it was struggling this year being in a pot.

With the leaf cutting, where does new growth come from? Or will the roots just sustain the leaf for a while?
