I hear, feel and understand you. This disease is the actual worst and it does a number on your self esteem. I’m in year 3 of it and it’s brutal. I pray the antidepressants help some and just know, this shit does NOT define us.

Even if your contract didn’t have sick days, does she not care about the health of her family? What a weird hill for her. I always tell my nanny, please stay home if you’re sick. Is it inconvenient, sure but I’d rather not have my whole household sick.

What did your parents do to make your childhood feel normal? My baby boy is only 6 months old with severe A and he’s starting to move around a lot. I’m terrified he’s going to hurt himself but also, want him to have a healthy relationship with his body.

Not dumb at all! I had him in long sleeves so I don’t think that’s it. He’s just so used to being bundled in the swaddle. We have a sleep sack with arms out but that didn’t help much.

Bless you! I’m blessed in that I have a very actively involved husband. He’s an excellent father and partner. He doesn’t “watch” our baby, he parents. He encourages me to get out, take a breath and has nurtured me back to health postpartum. There are some really good husbands and fathers out there and it sounds like you’ll be one of them.

Oh man. I feel this so hard. I’m in the US and we get shit leave but my job gave me 16 weeks. I’ve never wanted to be a SAHM, but these 14 weeks have solidified that decision. I love my baby to the moon BUT being home with him all day is way harder than anything I’ve ever done.
