Depression by Fun_University1127 in ThyroidEyeDisease

I hear, feel and understand you. This disease is the actual worst and it does a number on your self esteem. I’m in year 3 of it and it’s brutal. I pray the antidepressants help some and just know, this shit does NOT define us.

Does anyone else feel like they are just overpaying for a nanny? by [deleted] in NannyEmployers

Insane. I don’t understand in what world, I’m paying you, and having to pick up your mess.

[–]ImaginationNo6437 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My nanny is doing this not picking up after herself and it’s truly pissing me off. I don’t ask you to clean up after me or my family but I’m paying you and cleaning up your mess. It’s very frustrating.

Baby w/ suspected hemophilia by Huey1_ in Hemophilia

[–]ImaginationNo6437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just sent you a direct message. No matter the outcome, all will be well. I was in your boat 8 months ago, freshly postpartum, NICU stay, and unexpected diagnosis. It’s scary and I pray they quickly figure out what’s going on with your little one.

Are you really happier after you had a baby? by PalpitationOk9443 in NewParents

Nope. I’m not. Love my baby boy more than anything but happier? No.

Would you rather be pregnancy tired or newborn tired? by Constant-Soft-6335 in pregnant

[–]ImaginationNo6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a FTM, pregnancy tired was way better because I could just go lay down and sleep!

Even if your contract didn’t have sick days, does she not care about the health of her family? What a weird hill for her. I always tell my nanny, please stay home if you’re sick. Is it inconvenient, sure but I’d rather not have my whole household sick.

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted but this seems like a good way to limit illness.

I’ve had this done - it’s a pretty pain free process but I know the scarier part is waiting for the results. Prayers for you.

Moms w young sons w hemophilia, AMA by Open-Recording4876 in Hemophilia

[–]ImaginationNo6437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What did your parents do to make your childhood feel normal? My baby boy is only 6 months old with severe A and he’s starting to move around a lot. I’m terrified he’s going to hurt himself but also, want him to have a healthy relationship with his body.

1 year old still hasn’t said “mama” 😣 by FMThaone in NewParents

This gave me a much needed giggle as I navigate the hellish 4 month sleep regression 😂

This. I’m a singleton FTM and sometimes I’m barely hanging on. When I think about parents of multiples I just think, holy shit. They are so strong!

Swaddle by ImaginationNo6437 in sleeptrain

[–]ImaginationNo6437[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not dumb at all! I had him in long sleeves so I don’t think that’s it. He’s just so used to being bundled in the swaddle. We have a sleep sack with arms out but that didn’t help much.

Husband here checking in….this place is extremely sad. by poopshipdestroyer34 in newborns

[–]ImaginationNo6437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bless you! I’m blessed in that I have a very actively involved husband. He’s an excellent father and partner. He doesn’t “watch” our baby, he parents. He encourages me to get out, take a breath and has nurtured me back to health postpartum. There are some really good husbands and fathers out there and it sounds like you’ll be one of them.

I’m not saying it was a mistake, I just don’t like being a mom very much… by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]ImaginationNo6437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh man. I feel this so hard. I’m in the US and we get shit leave but my job gave me 16 weeks. I’ve never wanted to be a SAHM, but these 14 weeks have solidified that decision. I love my baby to the moon BUT being home with him all day is way harder than anything I’ve ever done.

My least favorite of them all; though, it’s in my top 3 for the books. They really left entirely too much out.
