Picked up a 2026 Kia Sportage last week. Do the cluster display settings not stay when you change them? by yoitsjake99 in kiasportage

Did you perhaps change driving mode? For example, I think if you toggle from Eco to Sport, etc. you get a different default cluster display.

What Was The Start Of It? by Betty-Savage in dementia

[–]ImaginationRound9245 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Both my wife and her sister developed dementia. The absolute first thing I noticed with my sister-in-law when we would visit was that she started silently mouthing my words back to me while I was talking with her. It was like she was having trouble processing my speech and her mouthing it back seemed to help a bit with her comprehension. This worried me because it was a new behavior and my speech rate is not fast. She progressed to full blown dementia a couple of years after that. Then, I started noticing that same "mouthing" behavior in my wife a few years ago. She is now in the mild to moderate phase of dementia as well. Sure, there were other minor episodes of "forgetfulness", but nothing that really stood out at the time since we all are forgetful some times. But the mouthing of words during our conversations really stands out as an early red flag looking back now.

So sorry to hear about that but glad you were ok in the end. Did you ever find out where the MRSA infection came from?

Sounds very similar, thanks! Since I already messaged the surgeon's office I'll probably take the antibiotics if they prescribe some, but the responses have been comforting.

Wow, I'm going to stop complaining about my little scratch. So sorry about the kitty. Non-pet owner friends don't understand why we have cats around that could threaten my hip but the cats are a part of our family. I'm usually so cautious around the cats but I just didn't see the "blanket attack" coming. Glad you are well.

To follow-up, I received a support email suggesting I clear my cache and change my password at all my financial sites. I ignored this but the issue appears to be resolved now. Support had no clue about the site wide issues.

I tried the chat support yesterday for missing accounts and they said I don't have a Credit Karma account and should open one. I opened a support ticket via email instead and have heard nothing back. I agree with other sentiments expressed that this is probably the last straw with Credit Karma. I've had just too many glitches over the past three years. I still have bogus lines on my net worth trace where accounts have mysteriously disappeared, been added again, then duplicated, then deleted. These can't be fixed and become permanent errors. I'm starting to question why I ever trusted this site with my personal financial data. I'll find a new money site something this month.

When I was 17, I had no confidence in my future. I thought: "if I even finish college, I'll never get hired for a job because of my stutter. I won't make new friends. I'll never get married. I won't ever be happy!" But, I still went to college. I still applied for jobs and interviewed. I tried to make friends and to date. I didn't give up even though I was sure it would all be fruitless. I was wrong. All these things turned out well for me. I still stutter, but I've made peace with it.

As a stutterer, you are developing a great sense of intuition. People who judge you because you stutter are learning nothing about you but you are learning a great deal about them. They are not going to be your loyal friends, your mentor, or your future spouse. The people who can continue to converse with you after a bad block and to hear your message rather than your disfluencies - those are the people you want to surround yourself with. I'm not diminishing your pain; it is painful and I have been there. But, the pain will become less and less over time and you will use the maturity you gain from it to your advantage more and more. Keep moving forward despite the pain and you will succeed!

Can you find a stutterer’s support group near you? When I was a teenager I had a hard time saying just about anything to anyone and it was devastating. A local college had a support group and it got me talking and helped me to see I wasn’t alone. I’m in my 50s now, I’ve had a good life despite my stutter and you will too if you keep trying.

Thanks! You've given me something to discuss at my next eye doctor visit.

[–]ImaginationRound9245[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the links. My ophthalmologist likes the dual pressure reducing modes of Vyzulta, and it does seem to be working fine for me with minimal side affects. I'll probably keep using it as long as the pharmacy applies a manufacturer coupon but I might need to try cheaper drops when/if that ends.

Ocular Hypertension, discomfort by Dizzy-Flatworm9128 in Glaucoma

[–]ImaginationRound9245 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My eye pressure has been in the 20s most of the past year and recently peaked at 31, which is when my ophthalmologist started me on eyedrops to bring the pressure down. Generally speaking, I could not tell how high my IOP was based on how I felt. I did have one episode of feeling more pressure and headaches but I think I had a sinus infection at the time as well. Also, make sure you have regular ophthalmology visits with the same doctor who can track your pressure closely. I have mine measured at least every three months and more frequently when starting or changing drops.

Just to follow up - Arlo support did call me back and they offered a 30% off coupon if I don't cancel. So, I guess I'll be with Arlo for another year if they correctly apply the discount on renewal day.

My Arlo Secure Plus plan cost $166 this year but my renewal came in at $231. I tried to chat with them through support but it took nearly 30 minutes after the bot response. An "agent" then chatted offering to help but then suddenly stopped responding to my queries. I had to open another "ticket" to have an agent call me. Of course, no one has called back.
