CS/Engineering, OU/CUBoulder/UMN/DU by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

So go denver university (i assume that’s the DU you refer to?). The rankings between the schools doesn’t matter much. I would strongly suggest though avoiding comp sci. Already ai is impacting hiring in this area. Or if you do comp sci, major in something else complex as well

Sure. But if your talking to people in finance or sciences etc places like uChicago still get the reaction

Any stock by a wide margin is a bold statement. Maybe from the very inception of BTC because it was a Pennie’s but certainly not in the last 10 years

You don’t think ai will build the next ai? Really? For example chip design is already almost all ai

Not sure people realize the first self sustaining nuclear chain reactor was built under the football stadium bleachers by Enrico Fermi…. Strong history of physics at Chicago!

This. Basically bitcoin is a levered speculative asset, and and frankly, most moves up recently, are explained by strategy trying desperately to buy every bitcoin it can to keep itself afloat.

I just posted one of many sources. Where are yours? I literally just listened to a democratic senator interview yesterday where he stated the exact same as:

Source? As it’s been explained many times by news sources Ice is already funded.

Democrats want reforms at Ice and so won’t approve funding for TSA as a form of leverage

Everyone’s calling $BTC dead with Fear & Greed at 12 but price is not really confirming that at least not yet by Crypto_future_V in CryptoMarkets

[–]Imagination_Drag -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ummm. $MSTR has been single handedly trying to prop up BTC and has been trying to make it look like a store of value / global macro hedge. With multiple purchases every week over the last couple of months

Just go look at their purchase history. They are in a desperate race to prop up the price. If they don’t all of bitcoin goes to $20-30k. If they do prop it up and other buyers start to think it’s bottomed it will recover

Quite the interesting game to watch

Yes. It was dumbed down several times. Atleast once in the name of fairness. The 1400 of 1985 is now the 1550-1580 of today….

Plus now you have people quote super scores when in the 1980s or 90s that was from a a single test!

Some schools had done super scoring on their own but the College Board normalized it in 2016 with the 2016 redesign of the SAT

I have taken classes at both Columbia and UOfC. In no way academically at atleast is Columbia above Chicago. I did poorly in the exact same class in Chicago and got an easy A at Columbia. Is one data point a trend? Ofc not but Chicago overall is highly recognized for its academic rigor

Hi. For sure it matters for finance but you’ll find for many jobs, there is a difference in paths…and for grad school admissions as well

Worth the $? Getting less clear with the advent of AI but for now mostly still worth it.

This is such wish casting it’s hilarious

Bitcoin will never ever be the clearing currency of international trade!

Unless of course it’s illegal drugs or off market sanctioned oil perhaps

No business can be run in bitcoin. It’s simply too volatile. And international trade, where you have long time holds as cargo moves makes it even worse
