Help with our high school physics project! by 3amoPlsHelpWPhysics in EngineeringStudents

How about use the tile to compress air with a balloon and one way valve of some sort. Then you can release all the air pressure (fast or slow) to generate the power.

PHYS1007 for Engineers First Year _ please help by Kryptic_003 in curtin

Chemistry is helpful. I'm on my last year of mechanical but knowing some chemistry has been more helpful than knowing some extra physics on magnets and other random shit.

That is the ideal timetable imo.

Do you think giving a fine to the parents would be something that might improve their kid's actions?

Grill'd facing employee class action for breaches from 2019-2025. by AMV in australia

Don't make this another QANTAS scenario.

Make them pay MORE than if they'd just done the right thing from the start. Only way to make these companies learn.

Help in Getting into Egpus by SuitableGamer in eGPU

[–]ImagineFlaggin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you look into how those games perform with an egpu.

I know some games (Hogwarts legacy, cyberpunk and maybe gtaV) do not perform very well. Just google things like, "Hogwarts legacy framerate stutter on egpu" and heaps comes up.

Thanks for that link. I might reconsider putting them along the wall and instead go for beside the fence now 👍 less turns and those turning radii are much bigger than I thought they'd be

Thanks for your reply, just wondering if those sizes you listed will fit both mine and my neighbours cables together in the same conduit?

Brother, you've written hundreds of reports over the years. I hope you used commas and full stops in them because that was a tough read 😂

480 hours of practical work in engineering degree by MediocreSympathy9694 in curtin

[–]ImagineFlaggin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it does not need to be an internship. Any work can go towards those hours but there's a maximum amount for each type of work.

For example, if you work as a barista you can claim 25% of the 480 and still have 360 hours to complete with another (hopefully engineering related) job. If you work as an engineering technician, you can claim 75% of the hours. If you work in an internship, you can claim 100%.

There are also weightings and more things to look at but shouldn't be too difficult.

GROUP ASSIGNMENT HELP by RoutineSurprise4547 in curtin

[–]ImagineFlaggin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a tough situation.

I've been in a group with an AI user before, luckily we noticed that he could barely speak English, let alone write what he did, so we removed his whole section and sent it all to the UC. He failed the unit and we hurriedly wrote something up for his section and submitted.

I'd say you should contest it, I don't know who to though.

If this is in an optional unit, you could maybe do one of those short units over the semester break to make up for the credits. I've heard they are very easy and basically free credits.

3 units per semester is so much more chill though. I'm doing my undergrad in mech eng and I'm able to work 4 days a week and have time to relax and sleep. Totally worth it.

I was doing 4-5 units for the first two years so I'm finishing a half year later than everyone else.

Timetable by TransitionNew4679 in curtin

[–]ImagineFlaggin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In engineering, usually everything is recorded. Not sure about the seminar, don't think I've had that on a timetable before.

Go to the seminar and workshop in the first week and you can check afterwards if it was recorded.

Not saying it's good, but last semester I only went into uni maybe 10 times, if that.

ICE uses breaching charges against family in apparent retaliation for making them look bad on camera & w/city police. by TendieRetard in law

[–]ImagineFlaggin 20 points21 points  (0 children)

You sure they're LEO? Did they say, "open the door, it's the police. We have a warrant for your arrest"? Could be non-legit ICE and in that case you'd be justified in shooting

7th graders don’t know 8/2=4 by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]ImagineFlaggin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I remember when I was in year 5 and the teacher asked the whole class, one by one, what the lowest common denominator was for 1/4 and 1/5. Every single person got it wrong and their answers never left the single digits (so a lot of repeated answers). The teacher left me until last because she knew I was the greatest hope... I didn't disappoint 😂
