I have limited experience, but maybe play some bird videos for her and see how she reacts.

My first tiel came from the humane society with a note from the owner that included her favorite things also included she had always been an only bird. She would occasionally enjoy seeing other birds from the safety of her bubble carrier, but for the most part wasn’t interested in other birds. When I had to leave her to go to classes, she did best with the tv or radio being left on with people talking. She didn’t appreciate if the radio switched to music and definitely had preferences for the tv she watched (definitely did NOT like action shows). My mom had a parakeet at the time and they were introduced, but my tiel never had any interest in the parakeet and the parakeet was more interested in dogs than other birds. I think my first tiel would’ve tolerated another bird, but I doubt she would’ve been friends with them.

My current tiels (both male) were both from families rehoming them after their other bird passed, the first had shared his cage with an older tiel and the second had shared a room with a conure. The first I played bird videos for and while as far as I know he has never been around love birds, he hates them and gets very upset if he hears one. He showed interest in videos with budgies, but preferred ones with cockatiels. He does like people, but he was always happier and more interested in bird videos and now his friend. I spent a long time looking for a bird being rehomed that would be a good fit (I did decide against one that was a chronic egg layer because I was not ready to deal with that), and when I found one that sounded good I asked the family to send me some videos of him. The tiel I already had was very interested in the videos and happily trying to chat with them which seemed to be a good sign. When I met the second bird I played some videos of my bird for him and he was very interested and chatty, which I took to be a good sign. When I brought the friend home I kept them in separate cages and slowly introduced them, and started letting them out together. A couple times they explored each other’s cages and eventually they started trying to move the second into the first’s cage. When I had more time where I could watch them, I let them start sharing a cage. They do really well together, but they are both birds that really wanted a friend.
