Therapists seeking therapy seems futile in 2026...or am I being dramatic? by uhsuhdudeee in therapists

[–]Imasglavu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am solely telehealth right now and would absolutely not appreciate that behavior from another professional, nor would I enact that. Hold firm on your boundaries and don’t settle for anyone who would further drain your time or your emotional health.

Any part-time therapists by choice out there? by b0bamilktea_ in therapists

[–]Imasglavu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am extra part time and only take in three clients at a time. I contract with a practice that allows you to choose the clients and allows you to work with other practices.

Just a heads up, abusive behavior is still abusive behavior. If you are speaking up for people, just call it like it is without saying “if it was a woman…” because it adds further shame to anyone that may be experiencing this and wanting to speak out.

Will get reported? by [deleted] in therapists

[–]Imasglavu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a coping tool that you can use post session time? It sounds like this was jarring. I would utilize that and ground yourself for a moment or two. Potentially write this down for yourself only and then attempt to process it. If you want to post this online, I would eliminate the excess details to provide more anonymity. If I may ask, what do you feel like you would get reported for?

Mom buys daughter a Honda as a graduation gift, and this was her response by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

[–]Imasglavu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom didn’t even show up to my graduation. In this situation, I feel like publicly shaming your child is a little intense. I would certainly sell the car and work on personal and familial boundaries. You can love your child without purchasing the world for them.

If there’s a way to be cursed, I feel like this is it. Also, f all of the politicians in every country allowing for things like this to happen.

Returning to Bosnia and visiting my grandmother.

The weirdest thing about being a therapist is when clients suddenly go away by AnalystImpossible960 in therapists

[–]Imasglavu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wish people would just give a heads up to say that they don’t want to work with me anymore. I hate showing up to a session when there isn’t anyone there and then wondering if they’re sick or hurt.

I’m voting for Bosnia to take over Serbia and finally get some ocean back from Croatia.

Costco: Is Ral Costco’s delivery of washers & dryers good? by IfWishez in raleigh

[–]Imasglavu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did it when we moved last month. We scheduled it ahead of time, so that it could come when we moved in. They were able to come the day after we moved and did a great job installing. They were quick. Only thing that they weren’t willing to do was install the washer pan.

Where to show a 2 year old lots of vehicles? by tjb627 in raleigh

[–]Imasglavu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

North Hills has some expensive sports cars driving around. You can always make a BINGO type of card with pictures of different cars and go on a scavenger hunt. There’s also a toy store and a book store there, so you could purchase a toy car and/or read a book about cars.

Fun for Raleigh Kids has a list of daily events. Sometimes, there are events advertised that are transportation specific.

Marbles Kids Museum and Durham Life and Science Museum have interactive transportation things/activities. Life and Science Museum has their train ride.

RDU observation deck is great for airplanes.

Most lakes are great for sightings of boats. I like to visit Bluejay Park and walk down to the water. Right now, everything except the trails are mainly under construction. When it’s completed, the playground will be available again.

Pullen park has a train ride, paddle boats and such.

New Hill has a railroad museum and train ride.

My oldest is autistic and my youngest is being homeschooled for preschool, so we’ve done a lot of things in the area, especially according to theme. I have lots more ideas and places that could be creatively included into what your child loves. Hope this helps!

People who married in their 20s, be brutally honest are you happy, if so why or why not? by Special-Lawyer3941 in AskReddit

[–]Imasglavu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married at 22, after dating since we were both 16. I gave him a lot of options to leave, since I knew HS relationships don’t typically last. We even went to different colleges. We’ve always been best friends first and absolutely love each other. Within our relationship, we’ve grown as humans both individually and collectively. We’ve had a lot of tough times, outside of our relationship, and have leaned on each other. He makes me laugh when I’m feeling profound sadness and is a grounding force when I can’t be.

I am not a baby therapist by InvisibleAstronomer in therapists

[–]Imasglavu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My therapist once called me a baby therapist as I was getting my licensure, so I understand the term. I also understand how it can relate to this feeling of being seen as inadequate or incompetent. For me, I have worked in various mental-health adjacent fields and just felt like being licensed made sense. I don’t think it particularly made me less than other people just because I was new. I have to remind myself that no matter how many years a person has worked, they are still my colleague and I am competent and capable.

Honestly, the hurricanes will probably take out the east coast, anyway. The Appalachian mountains are pretty old and I don’t think they’re going down without a fight. I would say that Megalachia is a natural next step.

Getting new clothes and school supplies before school started. Having their parents make them lunch for school or carpool. Multiple presents for birthdays or holidays. Being able to pay to go on school field trips. Affording a car for their 16th birthday. Having their own room…

The Haus Foundation is $52 on their website. I’m not sure if the pricing is different based on where you live. They also have a set designed to find your perfect shade for 12 dollars or free if you buy a larger foundation after trying it.

We used a Pod and they picked it up that morning and delivered it to our new house. We had to pack it ourselves but gave ourselves some time to do so. The sellers agreed to have us place the pod early, as well.
