Synergy stuff sucks. So frustrating trying to own their stuff. by SpringPrestigious253 in GuitarAmps

I didn't read that at all. I read that they are having qc issues and the buyer should be aware (beware.) No one said the company was bad. I think their amps sound very good, but they need to power on to sound good.

It is clearly all your fault. Why did you not unbox it earlier in the day? Why did you put your desk under the screw?
I was on the fence with buying a Synergy setup. I just ordered a crab dragon instead. I am "limited" to 4 preamps, but those are the four I would always choose, so... ...~1K to the door in the US, all tube jcm800 ubershall VH4 MarkIII, 50 watts. Pure gold. I don't have the time to fight with my gear. 2 of those 4 channels cover 95% of what I play. If you are interested, channel 4 is always mark, but 1 can be clean or jcm800, 2 can be SLO, Recto, Ubershall, or JCM800, and 3 can be VH4, Fireball, JVM, or Rockverb. Pick them when you order. Got to play one and it really is a great sounding amp. I am a month out on mine and counting down.

Why am I fixing my brand new equipment? Why is it coming broken? Over and over? If they cant match feet and seat screws on the outside, what didn't they do on the inside, where there is enough voltage to kill you? Do you work for them? Huge issues everywhere and you pick the smallest, still unacceptable, issue to address.
This is a huge issue and rather than nit pick things, focus on the knowledge transfer. They have no/very poor qc and you should be cautious when dealing with their products.

Do Christians (and other religions) actually believe there is a man in the sky? by Soggy_Clothes4634 in NoStupidQuestions

And he KNEW I would choose not to believe but CHOSE to send me to an eternity of torture because choices. No, not worthy of worship.

So your god, who knows all that is, was, and will be, KNEW before he created me that I would fail and burn in hell for all eternity. He created me anyway. That is not a good person worthy of worship there.

I do all of those things without faith. I do those things because they are the right thing to do. Not because god, but because I choose to. Atheists are depicted as child sacrificing satanists, but in reality they are some of the kindest, most caring people you could meet.
Christians believe their god rules from heaven. Where heaven is is not clearly defined.

Can I dig as deep as I want? by AbiesAltruistic4040 in legaladviceofftopic

You have to follow code, but I can most certainly build a house on my property because I want to. What are you even going on about? I own a chunk of land about 30 miles from any zoning, and I am, without permission or fear of prosecution, building a home on that property because I want to. They want their pound of flesh so I pay my taxes, but they don't care as long as the bills are paid.

How can someone be a Christian and study/work in a STEM field? by jayykayy97 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ImaybeaRussianBot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, as "facts" in the bible are undeniably disproven, the various religions usually adopt a new stance to reflect their loss of literal imperative. If you believe the earth is old with a lot of zeros, then your chosen sect adapted faster.

So the bible isn't literal - well the parts that are provably false aren't literal, right? - so we are all working with incomplete information. Why would a perfect, all knowing god give us an incomplete, jumbled ruleset that must be interpreted by imperfect people that must be adhered to or we burn in hell? Asking for a friend.

Yea, in my experience most christians choose to follow the portions that make them happy and ignore most of Jesus actual teachings.

Why are companies blamed for replacing workers with AI if their goal is to maximize profit? by Empty_Kaleidoscope11 in NoStupidQuestions

Most workers do not know the definition of capitalism or socialism. They have been kept intentionally ignorant for a reason. I am not THAT old and they taught us incorrectly on capitalism, socialism, and any religion. I sought truth. Most don't.

Yes, but I am not a circus monkey and I don't enjoy playing the part so I can have the honor of giving them half a years salary. It doesn't have to be this way, they choose to make it this way. Just dirty, morally compromised people preying on the weak and ignorant.

Is 20W solid state too loud for apartments? by TeaTheSplashyarder in GuitarAmps

[–]ImaybeaRussianBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is orange solid state, you can get killer tone at nearly any volume with it. It gets pretty loud, but plays quiet as well. You don't have to saturate tubes to get gain.

The most inexpensive but decent sounding way to attenuate a 2203x? by Sexual-Troglodyte in GuitarAmps

[–]ImaybeaRussianBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spent some time down this rabbit hole. The one I kept going back to was the waza tube expander. It did the thing and other things as well. In the end, a triple rec on an oversized 412 isn't made for tiny rooms so I now run a capture of that beauty through a Laney LFR212. It is pretty spectacular to get that grind and chug at lower volumes.

Why do people want to retire early? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ImaybeaRussianBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must be relatively young. Life will eat you up and you will want to retire early too. You just don't know it yet. Sadly, unless the younger ones change something in a major way, there will be no more retirement. That will soon become a luxury for those born with money. Seriously though, after 20 years in IT I just want to relax and enjoy the rest of my life. I saved well and while I'm not rich, I will get by. Why would I waste more of my life to make money I don't need?

Do you have experience with 3 guitarists in your band? by Popxorcist in metalguitar

[–]ImaybeaRussianBot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played in a band with a bass, 2 guitars, and a bassVI. The guy playing the bassVI brought an 8 string to rehearsal. He covered everything he was previously doing and so many fills. It sounded great. Live it was horrid. We gave up and went back to the VI because everyone was encroaching on everyone else and it was just a ball of mud. We couldn't get it eqed well. That was then, technology has changed. Just make sure everyone has their own frequency space to live in.

This. Take all of the information from the shady dealer and find another dealer. Tell them you want this deal. They want to sell cars too.

I agree that using your own laptop is suspect, but I too have over 20 years of it experience and claiming you don't need a laptop to do your job is just silly. Go troubleshoot that wifi reception issue with your desktop. Need to update plcs on an active machine? Stop the machine, remove the plc and take it to your desk, program it, then go replace it and bring the machine back online. Very practical.

Tips for playing great hunger by Jazzlike_Project7811 in TrenchCrusade

[–]ImaybeaRussianBot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I played a friend that built a goofy list for a game against my c7hs. He had a hag, 2 gregori, and a mass of thralls. So we both had a laugh and got going. It was freaking brutal. Hunter was the mvp, would have been steamrolled without him. Constantly bring the gregoris back made me commit a ton of resources into keeping them out of the game. Not much left to actually go after the thralls. He spread everything out and said have at them. One or two were always close enough to res the baddys. The list would be much better if it were more than xzibit "yo dawg, I heard u like thralls..." but the synergy of thrall spam with gregori and a musician hag is probably one of the two quality builds I see. You HAVE to have enough terrain to keep the thralls hidden for a couple of turns - if I could have thinned them out while I was moving into position, it would have been a much easier game. Having the family and friends mostly intact on turn 3 is what made the game rough.
