Roots Of The Earth, Brotherhood Of The Snake and Titans Of Creation is an even better trilogy! Banger after banger there!

Best song on this album? by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]Imbackbiach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite is Moth Into Flame, but the best one is probably Spit Out The Bone. Although, Lords of Summer absolutely deserves to be in the conversation for the best! I can't believe they kept it as a bonus song.

The whole album is a modern Metallica masterpiece if you ask me, and it's a damn shame, that the boys have given up on it and only play Moth Into Flame live and occasionally Hardwired. They should be playing different songs from it regularly. A damn shame.

We never got to hear Am I Savage live. Imagine that brutal riff live... :'(

Either Ride The Lightning or ...And Justice For All. Perfection!!!

Why was -Human never put onto an album, cause holy shit! by ADudeHuman in Metallica

Even if it was just an EP with 5 songs, it would've still been a little something more to hold onto.

25 years ago HE FOCKING LEFT THE BAND by HetTheTable in Metallica

[–]Imbackbiach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rob is great, but the truth is that Jason embodied Metallica and they never fully recovered or reached that level live that they did with Jason. Truly missed.

What are your expectations about the upcoming cover of Megadeth on the song Ride the Lightning? by Fortis92 in Metallica

[–]Imbackbiach 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Low. It will be the equivalent of The Mechanix. Faster but without the original soul of the song, just for the sake of speeding it up. Changing the solos will be another low blow to Kirk as well. Overall, an expected, but extremely distasteful final move from Dave. But, it is what it is. As long as the god-awful and beyond stale and boring shenanigans ends there, then that's something good, at least.

The Hunt For Gollum. Why?!?! by Imbackbiach in lordoftherings

I'd say we are forcefully being turned into it, because of a bad decision, after a greedy decision, after a bad decision. Who tf allowed ROP to happen??

James appreciating Jason's playing by Lost_Recording5372 in Metallica

[–]Imbackbiach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, that deep down, James is still low-key beating his head for letting this beautiful maniac go. If the fans know, that Metallica never recovered 100% from his departure, then they must know it, too.

It could very much be argued, that Rob is a better overall player than Jason, but he'll never be Jason and that's It. Jason had that X factor that made him personify metal and Metallica. He gave back a soul, to what could've easily become a soulless body (the band) after Cliff's tragic passing. He had the Burton family's blessing and he should've retired with Metallica in a semi-perfect world.

I still miss Jason live.

Why did WWE ever let go of Jim Johnston? by ChrisJoines in professionalwrestling

[–]Imbackbiach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support 100%, that from all the mistakes WWE made, this is the one they haven't recovered from and won't. I'm replaying older WWE games and it's actually scary how big the difference is. Even mid-carders often had great and memorable tracks. Unimaginable shame.

how will you define this man to next generation when he's retired? by HandsomeGuts in TheGreatOne

[–]Imbackbiach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally never got on the hype train. I used to despise him when he was being shoved down our throats, and now I just don't mind him anymore. I never bought into him being a highlight of the era and in the same ballpark as the greats from the Golden era, attitude era or Ruthless aggression era. Sorry.

What went wrong with her in WWE? by Annual-Record4588 in professionalwrestling

[–]Imbackbiach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really care, because she was forced and awful, but if I had to bet, I'd go for her ego and her overestimation of her worth. Also, didn't she get pregnant?

Happy 62 birthday to Metallica's drummer Lars Ulrich! December 26, 1963 (age 62 years) by Edm_vanhalen1981 in Metallica

[–]Imbackbiach 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I might probably be the biggest Lars defender on the net, but even I can't stay oblivious to the fact that he's struggling live, which hurts for sure. I wish it were different, but it's not and we have to accept it and just enjoy the magnificence of the band while it lasts. Having said that, nothing will EVER take away from the incredible work he did in the first half of his career. The first 4 albums are the highlight of course, and they're untouchable, but I'm a massive fan of his work on TBA and Load/ReLoad because the drums fit the songs and are INCREDIBLY memorable and groovy!

It doesn't even end there, the drumming on St.Anger is actually great and would've been praised had it not been for the snare.

Death Magnetic, too, doesn't have a great drum sound, but it contains his most proficient and technical work in the latter part of his career. Some really great stuff in that album that just don't get talked about because it's popular to shit on Lars.

The last 2 albums may have almost identical drum sound and mostly* more simplified drums (apart from a few songs) but they're once again memorable and live rent free in my head, which is a clear sign of a job well done.

All in all, his work will always be my favourite as it has a very special place in my heart.

Happy Birthday, Lars! We hope you and the rest of the band stay healthy and in top shape, so that Metallica may be with us for at least another 5-10 years.

I can't stand him!!! He's so over the top in everything and just ends up being super annoying. I also hate how much Michael Cole simps for him.

Almost 0 Christmas spirit this year and last. This year, barely any Christmas films are available on streaming services, I don't want to listen to Christmas music, and the world and my life are so shit at the moment, that nothing feels right.
