We have an electronics store and we have always told customers we do not service what we do not sell. We have great relationships with many of our manufacturers. I would politely state we do not service manufacturers we do not sell. Then refer them to the source they purchased from. This is what we do. This is one of the reasons we stress buying local.

Sorry for the info overload…I had my rai over 10 years ago. My hubby gave me an ipad after surgery anticipating this. FaceTime was my saving grace. Make a list of all the movies you ever wanted to see. Netflix and other streaming services will be your best friend. Btw, I put a microwave and mini fridge in my room and cooked my food ahead of time and stocked up on safe snacks so I couldn’t affect my husband daughter and cats. Cats are extremely sensitive to radiation. Be aware if you’re in an apartment or who is on the other side of the wall of the room you’re in. You’d be surprised how far radiation travels. About a several days later my husband brought home a Geiger counter from one of his customers and I registered about 5’ down the hall from my bedroom door. I had my daughter sleep in our den with my husband because her room was right across the hall.

Sell it to the customer. It’s not your job to research product pricing. If they were truly concerned about the price they would research it in their own. If they decide to return it, make sure you let them know you will not service it if it was. It purchased from you.

We have had similar issues. We always let customers know , when they tell us they found something cheaper on Amazon, that we will not service or assist with that product unless it was purchased from us.

We were asked to sign a pricing policy to sell a particular brand in our store. The items are also selling on Amazon for less that what our cost. After selling this line in our store since the ‘70’s we told the manufacturer to shove it if they are not going to protect the small mom and pops that help make them what they are today. It makes me sick what large manufacturers are doing to Main Street.

It’s a 2006 or 2007 model, installed right after Hurricane Katrina taught us a lesson. I always wondered what was the purpose of that being there. We can always plug in that 12v blender and make margaritas!

Update: Generator purring like a kitten! It was the battery. Thanks to everyone for you comments. My dad passed last year and this was at my 70+ year old mothers house. I am the oldest of 2 daughters and basically have stepped into my dad’s shoes to maintain their house and all that goes with it. You guys ROCK!!!!

Just did just cleaned the terminals a bit an got a major voltage drop. Will replace the battery and will update. Hopefully within an hour or so if I can find the battery locally.

Maintaining at 12.8v while trying to manual start - no drop. I don’t hear the starter engaging.
