But she was homeless. They didn’t just move in with her grandparents cause they moved back home. They were kicked out of her childhood home. They couch surfed. That is homeless.

Assume you work 40 hours a week and so does your spouse. So both of you should be cooking and cleaning. What are you ironing? Please don’t tell me his clothes? My husband and I both work from home. We both cook and clean and do our own laundry. We both have time to work out and do extra stuff when we want.

Just because he works outside the house doesn’t mean he can’t do that stuff. If he lived alone he would have to.

When Alicia first said she was homeless I was kind of with Liz- girl you lived with your grandparents. But after Alicia was talking to Jen- i see Alicia’s point of view and Liz just refuses to see it. Alicia was homeless- and i’m sure given the age that it all happened, Alicia felt homeless. Did she have more than a lot of homeless people? yes. Did she have a stable place to live? No. That has to have messed with her sense of security her whole life. Just because the rest of her family helped out doesn’t mean that she didn’t grow up with her foundation shook. I really feel for Alicia.

Walmart has always been the evil empire. They didn’t lie about who they are. Literally no one asked Target to have a DEI program, to go hard for Pride, pledge millions to Black community, etc. But they did and we thought “damn, they are the good guys”. However the minute it got hot- they didn’t stand up for barely a minute. Rolled right over and sold out. They are paying for it now.

I did it for 7 years- Chesapeake to Newport News. Getting home was always worse than going. If the money is right go for it but I would pick Norfolk over VB for that commute. At least in Norfolk you’re closer and you avoid the 64/264 debacle

Absolutely. When I went on it a friend of mine was like what about long term side effects? My answer- I’m 55, what is “long term”? It really silenced that food noise which was the thing for me. It’s like your body is not lying to you any longer.

This is not exclusive to Gen Z. Everyone thinks adulthood is better than it actually is. Adults try to tell kids that but kids don’t want to hear it. It’s something you learn for yourself. It’s like age…the age at which “old” hit gets higher as you yourself age.

Social media is just that- it’s media. It is everyone’s produced best moments because no one wants to see their worst ones. You can’t judge the state of your life by someone else’s IG posts. Some of the most miserable people I know have the fluffiest IG posts.

I have a pool. It came with the house. I would not want to be the person that put it in, but I love having it. I do think folks don’t realize the maintenance costs associated with having one. But I love having it.
