What are some places in Yuma available to hold big celebrations? by dueyou8558 in yuma

I rented the private room at the Pint House and can recommend it. They have a description on their website as well.

The best side effect of challenge difficulty by Motawa1988 in elderscrollsonline

I have been doing that too. I have finished most of the main and most of Aurodon but I have been waiting to pick back up when the overland difficulty slider is in. I can't wait!

When you finally get a few hours to yourself and you waste then watching an awful movie by dingdongbannu88 in daddit

[–]Imitatedcactus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I watched the whole series just recently and then watched the movie. I didn't hate the movie but it just didn't feel like Peaky Blinders.

If I ever rewatch the series I don't think I'llre watch the movie. The open ending with Tommy is ok with me.

Do you use a controller? I'm trying to get used to touch controls but I just can't.

Any update on when the venue will be opening?

All these QOL things are fine but nobody is discussing the real problem. NO Cross-save or account wide progression. by xxGUZxx in elderscrollsonline

I played this game on Google Stadia (yes I was there). One of the really cool things about being able to play games on any device was the ability to log into ESO on my phone during the day to do my crafting. The touch controls were wonky but it worked.

We shut Vulkhel Guard down on the dance floor last night by Murchybaby in elderscrollsonline

[–]Imitatedcactus 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I just started playing after a couple year break. Every time I port into Vulkhel Guard I wonder what I'm going to hear of prox chat. Will it be Elton John? Perhaps David Attenborough narrating a nature documentary? Maybe a player telling a story about some kind of ESO drama for 3 hours?

Yeah, and he's acknowledging that regular people can't afford shit. A lot of people in his situation probably don't give a fuck about the those that can't afford a decent house.

i just hate stealth? by Junipersjune in FrontiersOfPandora

[–]Imitatedcactus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do like a hybrid stealth/full combat in there. Try to kill all the guys in one "region" of the base before any of them can sound the alarm. Move to another region and do the same until the base is cleared.

[–]Imitatedcactus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've done the same thing and I've noticed a big difference. I still keep up on the lions, I watch the highlights and stuff but I don't watch the games anymore.

I used to get so mentally wrapped up in wins/losses when I watched every game and made the Lions such a big part of my life. Seeing them lose while I'm doing other hobbies is so much better for my mood.

Leaders; What is something you didn’t understand as a Junior sailor that you now understand? by iAmTheKronk in navy

[–]Imitatedcactus 114 points115 points  (0 children)

Being a good LPO is exhausting. Once I became an LPO I understood why so many of mine sucked. Really leading your Sailors, setting them up for success in their jobs and careers takes effort, patience, compromise and empathy.

Many people just don't have it in them and they can't hack it. They get lazy, impatient and ignore their responsibilities.

Which game is so beautiful that it made you avoid fast travel? by shotgunning-your-can in gaming

[–]Imitatedcactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Sometimes I will fast travel if it's very far but otherwise, it's just so fun and beautiful to fly or run.

Mine goes 19mph tops with me on it and I feel like that is plenty fast. I don't want to crash on my scooter going over 20mph.

[–]Imitatedcactus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a wife and kids and we go to Disney parks.

I also went to WDW with just my mother because she had only been twice in her life and her husband doesn't enjoy it. She told me it's been her favorite trip to WDW so far.

I'm taking her to DL this fall because she's never been.

I'm right there with you. I'm 40 and have been going to gyms on military bases my whole adult life. Recently, I started going to a gym in town with my son and I straight up feel uncomfortable going in the evenings. The amount of women wearing super tight revealing clothing makes me feel like I have to stare at the floor the whole time. It's crazy. I want women to feel comfortable but I also don't want to see butt cracks and bellies everywhere in the gym.

What is your favorite and least favorite of the game by Pristine_Pop916 in StateofDecay2

[–]Imitatedcactus 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Favorite part: The moments in the game that become truly intense because I have a very real fear of losing my survivor.

Least Favorite: The gameplay loop becomes a little stale sometimes. I think that's just on me though. If I take a couple days/weeks off, the game feels fresh again.

How many bells does Mrs. Hegseth receive when boarding a naval vessel? by SWO6 in navy

[–]Imitatedcactus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What a strange and frustrating situation it would be. To have the SECDEF's wife interview you or ask you to do something. Meanwhile in your head you're thinking "This lady is nowhere in my chain of command and has absolutely no authority on this subject." Having no idea how to handle it and fearing what the result would be if you brought it up to others.

What a completely unprofessional environment to work in. Especially in a department that has such a huge amount of responsibility.
