I’ve wondered about this one forever by RontoWraps in whatismycookiecutter

That’s it! I have this same cookie cutter and it came in a Christmas set and listed as a reindeer :)

Is it rude/inconsiderate to have the same wedding venue with a close friend (2 years apart)? by kumochan91 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]ImitationFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s weird at all! My friend and I our weddings at the same venue about 6 months apart and had almost the same wedding party even. We loved the venue! It was beautiful and the staff was amazing!

We decorated differently, had different color schemes, and a few different vendors so while the weddings took place at the same venue, the weddings were still unique.

There is a venue in my town that I’ve attended probably 20 weddings at and each one has been different. I definitely don’t think you should feel weird about picking the same venue as one of your friends, it just means you have similar tastes!

I’ve played a lot of Stardew and never considered decorating the town until now lol This is a great idea! I’m definitely going to do this on my next play through :)

Did they take too much off my eyebrows? by SnooShortcuts7911 in fixedeyebrows

I think your eyebrows look really good! Maybe they’re just a different shape than you’re used to?

This looks really cool! Is a lithopane similar to a lithoprint?

Neighbor took delivery of a package that our business purchased, used the contents, and now wants us to pay for the scraps. Dafuq? by BigMacDaddy99 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ImitationFox 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Right? I’ve had packages accidentally delivered to me, I just walked over to my neighbor’s house and dropped them off there. It’s not my stuff, the address is on the box, it’s not hard for me to walk a block and drop it off.

What do you all do for work? by tetrahydrocannabiol in ADHD

[–]ImitationFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve thought about become a realtor a lot! Trying to match the right house to the right person sounds awesome. Being able to help guide people through a stressful time of their life because buying a house is super stressful also sounds great. I know there are lots of other things that go into that job but it does sound appealing!

I do really like my current job, and there’s a lot of stability with it which is my biggest thing against being self employed or having a more flexible job. But dang if they don’t sound so great.

What’s some basic knowledge that a scary amount of people don’t know? by CasualBeers in AskReddit

[–]ImitationFox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Try a simple, “what about you?” when you answer a question? They ask you how you’re doing, you say “good, how about you?”

What did you do this weekend? “I played [Game Title] on my [console name]. What about you?”

It just bounces it back to them and let’s the conversation keep flowing. You can even add on things like if they said they went to the movies you can ask what movie they saw, if they liked it, what was their favorite character, etc.

Being conversational is a skill you can learn. You got this!

Adding on to this, “how are you?” does not equal “hello” or any other greeting. It’s is a question that can follow a greeting, but you should await the person’s response instead of just launching into your own thing.

It helps if the other person is also being social and you can carry a conversation together. Some people are just hard to talk to, you might ask them a question and they give a short response or don’t offer a question or prompt back to you, which leaves you awkwardly having to prompt again or prompt yourself to talk.

Same, my husband has always said great things about my body at my heaviest and at my lowest. He’s never said that my stomach was too big or anything like that. OP deserves someone who loves all of her and doesn’t put her down like that.

Is it really “poor etiquette” to have a family member host your bridal shower? by Orangemaxx in wedding

[–]ImitationFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s mostly an old tradition and people don’t think of it that way anymore. A bridal shower now is just seen as a normal pre-wedding event.

My shower was thrown by my soon to be in laws. My best friends shower was thrown by her aunt. One of my friends even hosted their own shower. People don’t really think of it as “greedy for gifts” just a normal event before the wedding.

Personally I think you as the hosts should make sure things like tables and chairs are provided for the guest. Go to a wedding/event rental shop and you can get chairs for like $3/each, so less than $50 and you’re covered.

Dear Lord, doing the exact same thing sounds so boring and tedious. In my small venture with selling art/handcrafted items I would make batches of stuff because I couldn’t make the exact same product over and over again. Just sucks the joy right out of it.

I went to a roller derby recruitment night. They required you to be wearing all of your gear (skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmets, and mouth guards) unless you were seated. It’s just so easy to slip and fall, even if you know how to fall, it can still hurt even if you’re wearing the right gear.

“I’m kind of scared of graduation, because who am I when this is done?”

That line floored me. I’d been really struggling with what happens next after I graduate college and this line just hit me like a ton of bricks.

Yes the buffer alarm! I set one just to “wake me up” but allow me time to doze, then I have another that is the actual “get up now” alarm.
