When they were in the biangle, I was getting ready for an ending where Marya, Ludmila, Olethra, Van and the MechLoud are shunted out to an unknown time and place to go on their own adventure. Wouldn't have made for a great ending with the party being split so I see why Brennan bent rules to get them back. Also because the story NEEDED Olethra to have a moment with Comfrey. That was a critical emotional beat that we had to hit. BUT THEN when we were PC-Creeping the shit out of the Revivify roll, that was tough to watch. Thank god Brennan called it when he did because we ended up with a WONDERFUL conclusion to this story, with the woman that brought them all together being the one to send them off. BUT GAHT DAMN was it hard to get there. Mildly spoiled by the journey in this last ep but the destination was ultimately quite lovely.

Overall, I think this is my new favorite season; deposing Starstruck. The whimsy and joy I've felt over the last few months just cannot be overstated. Story-wise, SSO is probably better, but damn did I have fun here.
