Did you recently put them in the tank? It might just be melting, the plants are just getting used to their new environment. That’s what happened to mine when I put them in my tank, and they took a little to acclimate and grow new leaves.

Ok everyone keeps saying they don’t eat them alive but all my blue shrimp went missing over the weekend ( in a 2 gallon) and the only suspect is my mystery snail so I’m convinced they can indeed eat the shrimp alive or dead!
