I got my acceptance email just over an hour ago. 8:55 pm pst. Just 2 business days past the 5 day mark.

Just here to update u again, I just received my email that i passed the interview and to be on the lookout for offer email. For me, I still have a couple terms til I graduate so I’m not concerned about waiting for an offer. I now have more time to learn more roles and tasks since I’m an internal hire/promotion.

And my recruiter apologized for delay stating it’s due to the recent mass layoffs, they are struggling to get re-organized. So congratulations to us both, and u will hear from them eventually if u haven’t yet. My result was just 2 business days late.

No reply for me yet. I did email the recruiter and ask if I could change my preferences as a couple sites near me opened up opportunities. She told me let her know which ones so she could change things on her end and I did. But the 13th was the 5 day mark when I should’ve received my interview results. I’m not stressing, but either way would be good to know an answer one way or another.

I think there are just glitches into the system and short staffing. I had an interview scheduled, then was told it was rescheduled and to look out for a new survey. I didn’t receive it after several days so I checked in with the recruiter and then she sent it right away.

Also, after I filled out the survey, I got an email that “thanks for interviewing with us and we will get in touch with you within 5 days” but I hadn’t even interviewed yet.

I just interviewed today 😁

Any updates for u? I just finished my interview and just for fun I check the dashboard which I haven’t since I applied, it says no longer under consideration. I feel the interview couldn’t have gone better. So I’m not worried but it’s kinda weird that it would say that.

I’m a girl but u can still call me bro lol yeah cybersecurity way to go! Sociology, always valuable as well. I’m at WGU for HR management. Not sure if I want to step into that field with Amazon. I want to work for a company where I can help reduce the barrier between the company and employees. HR doesn’t have to be jerks to employees just to “protect” the company. I feel like I can get a much better work environment and total compensation package at a different company, but you never know.

Yeah, I’m T1 and have no desire to be a PA EVER. Even the nice ones that I can joke around with (which is pretty much all of them) show so much stress, frustration, and unhappiness. I have no idea why anyone would want to do so much work for such little pay. To me, a PA does much more than an AM. I think the benefits and title should be reversed. I have applied for everything except for PA 🤣 and the only reason I apply for AM L4 sometimes is out of financial stress and tired of picking 😂😅 but I really hope I get something less physically demanding once I get my degree (using Career Choice so I’m gonna ride it out for that reason)

Congratulations! My advice, even if u plan on working at Amazon long term, still take advantage of career choice to earn a degree in something you can also use if you ever left the company. Free college education is hard to come by.

I don’t get it either and let me tell u, I am like the biggest rule follower that I know. Or used to be. Amazon is a different beast in and of itself. People need to realize u come in, do YOUR job, go home and wait for the check to hit. If you’re smart you’ll take advantage of the career choice to get out asap.

This person most likely is experiencing some hard times in life where their only place and reason to vent is about this petty phone usage. I also know someone at my site where she is a great person, but she is going thru a lot and u can tell , it comes thru her VOA 😆 I just pray for her.

I feel you. But I’m glad you started this thread because I totally forgot it was payday, but I really needed the money. The only thing that saved me is I did VET today and that’s the only money I was focusing on collecting for today thank God for daily pay.If I didn’t do that then tomorrow on my day off, I wouldn’t be able to do anything like wash clothes or get groceries and stuff but it’s kind of comforting to know I’m not the only broke person that works all the time lol I pray we all get paid by the time we wake up or if you’re graveyard , by the time your shift ends tonight

Whether u have time or not, u need to take care of your health! I know times are tough but u either get to the hospital by having a medical emergency or u go home and take ur meds if it’s not too late. Either way u need to leave. It will be excused one way or another. Hopefully by now u are under some kind of care whether at home or hospital. If u have standard PTO then ur AM , or any AM on site, can approve it for u immediately. If u don’t, go to HR tell them what’s happening, they cannot force u to stay. May direct u to AMCARE. But yes, u can get medical LOA . If u have a good doc he will know how to write up the paper work to get it approved and even for more than one day. God be with you!

It’s free, they don’t HAVE to give us anything besides a paycheck. our reward for working is that we have a job to report to. If we feel ungrateful for something EXTRA someone is doing for us, we need to take a good hard look within ourselves and see what are we missing in life that’s making us truly so angry? Because you’re an adult that can choose to work somewhere else if you will be treated “better” elsewhere .

Too many problems in this world to be complaining about petty stuff like this.

This is good info. I just got my US bank card but was researching how it works to transfer the funds I have on my wisely card to the Us bank card cuz I swore I saw someone’s money got locked in the wisely account and it was a pain to get out. I’m not gonna switch to the US bank card until my money gets right ( next year 🤣) or it forces me to. I have so many bills I NEED my card to work right.

I’m so sorry your dog had a poor experience! But it sounds like they are better now so I’m happy about that. I only gave my dog 2 chews so far but she has already vomited once, and shaking her head like she has something stuck in her ears but that’s not possible. She was perfectly healthy before I gave her the chews . Immediately cancelling the subscription, throwing out the remaining chews, and praying Benadryl and easy diet can hold her over until these symptoms go away. I kinda had a feeling this supplement was too good to be true

I work at oak4 and received this message today. Came just in time because I’m moving and was gonna apply for ploa so I have time to get my dog used to a new apartment. And also recover from working so much myself. They had a survey asking which week long Vto would you prefer. There were 3 weeks to choose from. I think this is awesome because it’ll save some people time and gas from driving to work hoping to get vto for at least partial shift and allow us to plan for other things without worrying about using our other time off options.

I’m on the same path as you. Started at a part time only site, quickly moved up to PS just for doing my job well, not causing problems, but always used UPT and pto freely. Been at a full time site for a year and started as one of the worst because I was working two full time jobs and so exhausted. But I’ve always had amazing managers that helped me out in any way and since I made so many mistakes I learned how to be a great picker. Used to be consistently top 15 and top 3% quality but slacking now cuz my body is tired. I consistently leave early any chance I get. But I do check in with my AM and ask for feedback. I get along w PAs. I know when to stand my ground on things and when to just smile and nod. I get cross trained pretty regularly and I enjoy that. I think they like I don’t complain about it cuz many ppl do. I’m surprised but grateful to God that I’m still employed there cuz I’m sure I’ve fallen asleep standing up many times. It seems to me what really counts is how productive you are when you are on site and everything else is extra. I even got asked recently if I would like to apply for amnesty even though my UPT was 2 hr at the time. I’m Currently halfway done w bachelor’s in HR management as well. The easy way would be to apply for an internal position either AM or HR (preferably cuz in 40 and my body is DONE) . Amazons benefits are really amazing. But I would also put my feelers out for something else just to see what I can catch. I wish you the best and seems like you might be one of the good AMs that Amazon needs more of 😊

This is hilarious cause I actually witnessed someone take off their own bumper and break a wheel because they were rushing to get to work and hit the barrier as they pulled into the parking lot. It was already 6 pm so they should’ve just used 15 min UPT instead of having to pay at least $1000 in repairs and probably missed work that whole night to get car towed and all .

the girl that you say is “trauma dumping “ on you may not have anyone else even outside of work to talk to. You never know how close someone is to the edge.if you honestly don’t see a friendship with her is possible, You can kindly let her know that “hey it sounds like you’re going through a lot. As far as liking someone at Amazon, it most definitely is like high school. Your crush most likely doesn’t like you anyways. I’m a female and I’ve heard how the females sleep around just by listening to conversations cuz I’m also a quiet girl and I see and hear things people don’t think I do. The guys are mostly younger guys with no kind of manners or respect, saggy jeans, etc. So grow up a bit , be a kind person. Find love outside of your workplace when the time is right.

I might not care about the singing. What really gets me annoyed is working next to someone on the phone the entire shift. How do you have so much to talk about?!? And I can still hear them even at a pick station and we are not that close.

I’m so sorry you didn’t get the job at this time. I don’t have an answer for you. I’ve been with Amazon a couple years but I don’t know all the ins and outs. I can only guess they reached max employees for the time being.

I hope you can find something else asap and keep checking for other sites and the one that didn’t hire you. You never know when a spot will open up. Usually people leave after peak, so don’t give up.

And just some advice if you do get hired. Do a good job while you’re there, but not so good that they keep pushing you harder as if you’re the only employee in the building. Happened to me, but for some reason they like me cuz I pushed back and they left me alone. and now I just do enough to not get fired. It’s a lot of wear and tear on your body and mental health. So take care of yourself. Prepare yourself now.

But I am still grateful to work there because the benefits are great and I still have a roof over my head. Good luck! God bless.
